NATURALLY ALERT
Purchased on recommendation by a friend for the non-caffeine alertness after drinking this Rasa product. He was right — it works. I enjoy the bold earthy flavor. I simply put a tablespoon in a teapot with a built in strainer, add a cup of boiling water, and let it steep for 5 minutes. A package lasts a long time, worth the price.

Great taste
Love the taste but it’s pricey so I mix it with the original formula and another chicory product. I’ve also added a mushroom blend really trust.

energizing with a feeling of well being
When I opened the bag I was surprised the grounds smelled lightly of cocoaand kinda like coffee. There's is a bit of Cacao but doesn't say how much - no coffee.Thinking this wouldn't have a hefty amount of flavor - I slightly rounded the tablespoonand let it seep in 8oz boiling water for 20 minutes (instead of the suggested 10-15)I was wrong that the flavor wouldn't be very bold = indeed it is..I usually add creamer to my coffee but found this fairly tasty = drank it plain..It doesn't taste much like coffee - nor mushrooms = but is sorta an herbal flavor. It's not the best tasting - there's no sweetness = BUT it's totally healthy. You gotta wait 10-15 minutes while the 'coffee' steeps in you're French cupbut I like the energizing benefits. The 8 oz bag is 30 servings = for the current $52.00It's pricey but gives feeling of well being - energy boost and loaded with quality nutrition.

My favorite drink ever!
This is my favorite coffee alternative- and I've tried a lot. Don’t expect a direct coffee replacement, but expect that same rich, slightly bitter, warming kinda vibe. Trick is to let it brew 15 mins in an insulated mug. When I’ve been drinking this a few days, I feel so good - calm and focused and energized. Only negative is that this flavor seems to be pricier than the rest - perhaps due to the mushrooms?

Not sure if it's better than the original Rasa
Let me start by saying that I am NOT a coffee drinker, never have been, never will be. That being said, I've been drinking the Original Rasa at the recommendation of my acupuncturist for about two months. I noticed with this BOLD variety that the amount of adaptogens is about 3x greater than in the original version. I expected to be the energizer bunny. Not so. I expected the taste of the BOLD to be a lot more intense. Not so. I'm not sure.... I really don't notice a difference in my energy levels or overall wellbeing between the Original and the Bold, so I'll probably just stick with the original, as it's about $20.00 cheaper than the bold. I prepare it the same, it tastes the same, I feel the same.

I really wanted to like this...
I have been purchasing the Cacao flavor which is just ok. None of the coffee alternatives have truly been a replacement for coffee. So understanding that, I made the switch to be healthier and went with the cacao as I've read cacao is similar in the bold flavor. I didn't feel the cacao was strong enough, so I opted for this one called Bold. It tasted extremely similar to cacao but way more expensive. This one definitely had more of a mushroom flavor (because of the adaptogens of course) but I could not get over the umami flavor in my coffee. I will continue to drink this until the bag is gone for the health benefits, but I won't be purchasing in the future. I might go back to Rasa Cacao but will continue my quest for other coffee alternatives.

My favorite healthy coffee substitute
One mug of this brewed up in my French press or percolator has more great plant nutrients and stress-busting adaptogens then any other supplement I’ve tried, and the taste is good alone, and great with a little vanilla creamer!

HATE the taste. Love the effects!
Ugh. It's gross.Chicory and cocoa and mushrooms and dandelion do not make a delicious beverage. Not even a little bit. Though the drink is energizing and provides a good caffeine free push to get through a million Excel sheets, it is not delicious. As is, it tastes like dirt with a hint of cocoa. When sweetened only with honey, it tastes kind of like a mud pie with honey in it. Adding an additional tsp of cacao, a tablespoon of date syrup and a splash of heavy cream makes it much better and drinkable. To brew, use boiling water and a French press. Steep for 15 minutes, pour it into a mug, wait for it to cool off enough and chug the foulness down. Or, you know, sip it and savor it if you a) actually enjoy the flavor or b) are a masochist and enjoy self torture.Okay, so I'm going on and on about how unpalatable this stuff is, but I legit eat and drink nasty stuff every single day for my health and this isn't the worst tasting thing I've subjected myself to. And though I love coffee, sometimes I need a way to keep going in the afternoon without a double espresso, and this is it.This is an energizing brew, but it doesn't give coffee jitters. The 9,700mg of adaptogens per serving isn't bad at all at, and the ingredients list is immaculately thought out and it does exactly what it claims while also instilling a sense of calm. Though I'd give the taste by itself only 3 stars, I'd give the sustained energy I get out of it ten stars if it went that high. That said, it's a solid 5.
