I don't actually know about the picture quality but what I do know is my son loves it. He's 15 but he has autism and he tends to drop & be very rough on things. Also, he's very picky and he uses this thing on a daily basis. Would buy again.

Defective
I had to return since the battery did not hold charge. If working it would have been a good gift. I would say this is for kids up to 6yo.

Terrible
We’ve tried for months to get this product to work well. It has never functioned properly, and it has been a major disappointment for our 9 year old. Do not buy!!!!

Doesn’t function properly
Took camera out of package Christmas morning and the camera looks used. There are dents in the plastic house and scratches. When plugged in to charge the camera shows a full battery life but as soon as it’s unplugged it turns off and will not power back on to use.

Programing worthless
Our item was defective. Wouldn't start firmware update which is required in the manual. We reached out to little tikes. We had to send our own email with pictures /video showing the issue to a differnt programming service department. We have been waiting over 2weeks for them to address the issue. Web searches say its a known issue with the firmware update.
