Q: I work on pyrography projects (and the handle gets hot). Are they slippery or do they grip? I need to know the tool won't slip around in my hand.

Thank you for your question. The finger Heat Shields have a good grip and will not slip as long as they stay dry, they also stay nice and snug on the fingers, keep in mind that they only protect the fingers, if you have a Small to Medium size hand/fingers the Small/Med size is the correct size, if you have Medium to Large hands/fingers the Medium/Large size will be the correct size. Additional tip: to get the best protection make sure the brand name of the product (Jatai) is on top of your fingers.

Q: Can it be used on the right hand?

Yes, the Jatai Heat Shields may be used on either hand.

Q: Would these be good for stained glass art?

If the heat doesn't get over 400 F. , it will be ok.
