Solid Attractive Effective Water Filter
I love this water filter. I installed it without a problem, the water comes out briskly, and there is absolutely no chlorine or chemical taste whatsoever. The water feels so clean and smooth, if that makes any sense. I was very impressed with the build quality of this filter, particularly the stainless-steel canister. It was solid as a rock and eliminated any anxiety I had about the possibility of leaks or bursts. (I know it’s unlikely to happen, but it was still in the back of my mind.) The faucet is very attractive, too. Very importantly, the customer service at Waterdrop is incredible. When I took the canister out of the box, I couldn’t remove the lid no matter how hard I tried. I emailed customer service to ask what I should do with what appeared to be a stuck and/or defective canister lid. Within an hour I received an email from Jessica at customer service. She understood my problem and, amazingly, sent me another canister that day with a lid that was already loosened to ensure I was able to open it with ease. This will certainly help in the future when I need to replace the filter. It’s so important to me when I purchase a product that the company stands behind it, and Jessica clearly demonstrated that Waterdrop is very responsive to its customers. I’m very impressed and I guess it’s no surprise that I highly recommend this water filter.

This is a beefy water filter
I am only 1 week into owning this filter so I can't comment on how long it will last or how well it filters things like heavy metals or lead.Build quality: Very good. This thing is solid and heavy, even more so when you put water in it. I decided to not hang it to the side of my flimsy cabinet and instead set it on the floor under my kitchen sink.Ease of installation: Not bad.As you can see from the photo I marked on the filter the direction of water flow to make it more visible (small mark on top was not visible enough for me). AND I put reminders for myself which direction to twist the locking collar to tighten/loosen. When I first got the unit I tried taking the collar off with the supplied "wrench" but had no luck. Turns out dummy me was turning it the wrong way. DOH! I also used the supplied plumbers tape on all of the threads as the fittings felt a little to easy to tighten. The thread tape, if applied just to the threads and in the direction you will screw on the fittings, did a great job of stopping any leaks. I used 2 to 3 wraps and wrenches to ensure a good fit.Flow rate: GoodThis unit is rated at 1.6 gpm. It is not. My water flow from my kitchen sink has gone down, but not to the point where it annoys me. In fact it toned down my very high water pressure to a more reasonable level IMO. I did some testing while letting the water run for 10 minutes (per included instructions) after first installing the filter. In 3 minutes this filled up a 3 gallon bucket. Thus the water flow is around 1 gpm, not the advertised 1.6.Filter/taste: Very good tasteI have not tested my water so I can not say factually if this thing actually removes a good amount of lead, heavy metals, cysts, etc. The company says it does but does not provide any fact based evidence or lab results. Based on that and the fact that this is a Chinese company makes me think that this .05 micron filter probably filters some heavy metals, but not as much as they claim. The water tastes noticeably better after installing the filter and now I am not as worried about my water when making coffee or boiling some pasta.Final verdict:If you want a well build filter housing that should last forever, was easy to install and makes good tasting water then I recommend this product. If you want verified heavy metal reductions then I would do more research. Nothing I saw in the advertising was more than words. IMO the company should send the filter that comes with this housing to a lab then post the actual results. Since they don't do this I am guessing the results are not that great in terms of reducing heavy metals and such in your water.

Great Design...Less Plastic Waste!
The instructions were decent and it was relatively easy to install. The build quality seems excellent. I installed this under my bathroom sink and already have their TST-UF system under my kitchen sink. So far things work well and taste is good...although I would like to get my water tested and see some real results between regular unfiltered tap water and water from these two filters. The biggest selling point for me was the stainless steel design and the fact that it's less plastic I need to dispose of when the filters need replaced.

Works well; ugly hoses included (if it matters)
The Waterdrop -AS08 was just what I needed: a filter to intercept the water line feeding a plumbed espresso machine. The stainless housing stands sturdily without needing to mount (though one is included if desired) and coordinates well with the chromed machine. It is easy to set up, with several sizes of quick-connect hose collets included. With 8000 gallons of lifespan for the filter inside it won't require swapping out every 3-5 months like our fridge water supply did. Waterdrop customer service made sure I got relatively quickly the right parts and connections I needed (3/8" female compressions on both ends, though normally it comes with only one). That said my full house water system is carbon filtered and balanced for the right amount of hardness in the softness to still taste good while preventing long term scale issues. Thus I needed this Waterdrop filter mostly just to make sure if any sediment occurs in the supply while coursing through the house's plumbing from the master filter, that it won't end up in my boilers. Thus any taste benefit this filter may confer is hard to judge.Aesthetically I wanted a filter that looks clean and shiny since it isn't hidden from view. Kudos for this design—no ugly labels to look at. The only complaint is that it doesn't ship with the stainless-colored braided hoses quite as pictured in the listing. They come with unsightly red 'candy cane striping'. Thus since my hoses are visible instead of hidden it's a small distracting detail that's less than thrilling. Waterdrop had stainless-color-only hoses that they were willing to send instead, but they are the wrong size of quick connectors to fit the filter cylinder itself. Otherwise I'm very satisfied with the item and Waterdrop's commitment to good service.
