Works very well

Wow, what a piece of junk. My Tidal 110 broke after a few years of heavy use, and I ordered this one as a temp because I could get it the next day. (I figured I could box this one up as an emergency spare after my replacement Tidal arrived.) The parts are extremely flimsy. The directions indicate it can be difficult to assemble, but for clarity it isn't because it's complicated, it's because it's poorly constructed. The center piece is hard to get in to place, and as you get one piece connected the others fall apart. To top it all off, I noticed a sheen on the bottom, and when I swiped my finger on it and inspected, it appears to be some sort of oil...thankfully I didn't put it in my tank and introduce a contaminant. I ended up tossing this trash in the garbage where it belongs. When I got my better pump a few days later I was hit by the quality comparison of sturdy and fitted parts, and I was able to just attach the inflow, add the filter media, and off to the races...what a difference. You get what you pay for...imo you're better off just biting the bullet and paying a bit more for something that works, is sturdy, and won't put your critters at risk.

The media could not be loaded. It works really well at filtering the water. It was making making a weird noise so I checked the filter and it was time for new ones. Flows beautifully. Easy to adjust the water flow. My fish love it. And I love hearing the water. The pump itself isnt loud, in my opion, but it also isnt silent, yet its quiet enough for me to just tune it out. If it gets the job done and helps my aquarium life thrive, it's perfect for me. Happy fish, happy plants, happy me.

The only issue I have with this is the move level. It is the loudest filter I have used. It seems to clean well but wow. I would return it but I have extra filters already so I am keeping it.

I would 100% recommend it, it has a sponge on the intake which would keep your shrimp/fish safe, and a carbon filter to keep your water clear if you use tannins or black water and the best part, it sucks the top layer of protein and keeps it clean and helps aerate the water better. The flow is controllable, fair warning, flow isn't really alot once you fill it up with carbon and the sponge inside. The only part which you have to worry about is the skimmer part if any of your shrimp like to hang near the surface, I just used a piece of plastic mesh and it works like a charm.

Arrived super dirty , it was just in a small clear ziplock bag . The bag is super dirty , and when I opened the bag and took the filters out and I was shocked . I got those filters super dirty too . I was like , umm really ? Looks like someone took the bag and filters out of bag and put it on a dirt ground and was kicking it for awhile , and then put it back in and then just shipped it just like that . Really ? Wow . I had to wash it twice under running water in a bath , the water was coming very dirty of it , and it was still dirty . Then I had to put it in a bowl and sock it in a hot water for about 1.5 hr and then rinse it again . Then I finally start to see the white sides on both sides .Well that's redicolous . I never thought I'm going to receive filters like that bad 😞 . And for that price ? Really ? The only keeping it because I didn't found others same filters for the exact water filter . If not that I would return it right away . Horrible experience . Very upset . Next time I rather put some other filter cut out from big piece than buy some filter replacements like that . Coz it's just WOW .
