Love it!
This sub is a beast.. I'm a very big bass head and I've tried so many subs and am always disappointed.. this is the only one that fulfils my needs. Spend the extra $ you will not regret it! Make sure you DO NOT cheap out on the box either! You WILL need at least a 1"thick quality MDF enclosure preferably with a doubled up 2" thick baffle! Also the box MUST have internal bracing also 1" mdf.. tune the box to 38Hz. This is what Orion calls for. Also F.Y.I. you WILL I repeat WILL NEED TO upgrade ALL of your power system. I am talking 0 gauge wire from battery to amp as well as for your ground. But also "the big 3 upgrade" MUST BE DONE (with these or ANY high powered system. So we're talking 0 gauge (aka 1/0 awg) from you battery negative side to the body of your vehicle (#1). 0 gauge from any of the mounting bolts for your alternator (#2). And 0 gauge from the charging terminal on your alternator to the positive post on your battery (#3). Use copper lugs they sell them here on Amazon.com. You will notice a MASSIVE increase in power to your amps and sub! Then you will also need a 2nd battery and a high output alternator... but all of this is worth EVERY penny!! Orion FTW!!Update 1 year later and still pounding.. DEFINITELY getting a second one very soon!

Shattered my front windshield!!
Got this monster hooked in my 2009 Ford Ranger 2 door with stock head unit and all stock electrical system (no upgrades)Got the sub in a prefabricated box i got from AmazonGot it wired at 1.13 ohm final impedanceGot it hooked up to (1) 4000 watt boss armor 1 ohm stable, which I bought from Amazon for less than 100$100amp fuse linkWith all that being said... this sub is in its own league... the SQ is amazing as well as SPL!Had bass knob turned up to 1/4 turn and my head unit volume turned to about 1/3 turn.. all my windows were flexing just like you see on the videos people post and it cracked my front windshield... ears hurting at this point. I haven't when past 1/3 turn on the bass knob thinking it my do some real damage to my little ranger, but it doesn't mean I'm not going too.And no I'm not under powering the sub cause at 1/4 turn the sub is flexing about 2 inches , can't imagine at full blast!Hope this review helps!Pre fab box - 120$Boss armor 4000w 1-ohm stable mono block 97$15" Orion HCCA dual 2 ohm $435Grand total of about $720 for this set up, did installation my self

The subwoofer blew within one hour of installation
I did everything right I had the Orion xtr 2500.1 amp wired to one ohm with 0 gage wire all around the bass knob wasn’t past 1/4th of the way up yet one hour with this subwoofer it blew on the freeway I’m currently going though the refund/exchange process now but when I received this subwoofer it was covered in dust and loooked older defiantly not a 2017-18 model hcca 15.2 but it was a brand new subwoofer yet it blew so easily I’ve never had anything like this happen it sounded amazing before it blew I just hope this can all be straightened out bc I do want to run hcca I will update once I get my issue handled it’s a amazing subwoofer I just think the one I recived was a dud

This is a nice speaker however I would not recommend this unless ups can get their stuff in order. I'm assuming ups carriers are incapable of properly handling this heavy speaker. I have ordered a total of 3 of these from amazon and all have arrived in some broken manner. I do go into shows and have heard a bunch of these speakers and they are a solid speaker. Band-pass friendly and have designed 4th,6th orders that has played very well. Amazon refunds. The way i see it either Orion needs to crate these subs because of the weight or needs different shipment method.

Most Impressive Subwoofer
LITERALLY THE BEST SUBWOOFER EVER! I INSTALLED IN MY BMW ON STOCK ELECTRICAL. JUST TAPPED A LINE OUTPUT COVERTER INTO THE FACTORY AMP MOUNTED MY AMP WHERE THE BATTERY COVER WOULD NORMALLY GO I JUST SCREWED IT INTO THE TRUNK LINER BUT ITS ON A TARAMPS HD 3000.1 AT 1 OHM AND IT IS THE HARDEST HITTING SUBWOOFER I HAVE EVER HEARD. IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY, GO FOR IT. GOOD SPL AND SOUND QUALITY ACCORDING TO EAR. I HAVENT METERED IT BUT IT SHAKES MY REAVIEW AND SIDE MIRRORS HARD AND FLEXES THE ROOF INSIDE OF MY CAR. BOX IS 4.1 CUBIC FEET THE PORT IS 1 CUBIC FOOT. I BELIEVE THE BOX IS TUNED TO 35 HZ.

BEAST!
This sub truly performs excellently. It's perfect for a sealed enclosure (HCCA 152) I like SQ and in a sealed enclosure it performs well. The only negative thing I could say is it does not bump the kick drum as well as a 12' sub. If you like rock music, go for 2 12's, and set your LPF to around 60-80 hz. If you like big sound and want to feel the the music then this is a great sub. I have it wired to an Orion XTR 2500.1Dz (@1ohm) with a XS D3400 AGM battery, 300amp alternator, 0 gauge CCA wire, and a battery isolator. Its an awesome setup.

Hate the coil.
I paid $100 less than what it is now. The coil did not last. I had to get another coil. The material the coil is made of is cheap and I can see why it didn't last. It does sound great but I wouldn't pay the price that its listed for now.
