Concise and well written, good for a beginner's introduction. The most important Hindu gods and goddesses with interesting stories about them.

I wanted a primer and got it. I liked the organization: description of the god/goddess + a myth. I would have liked even more of the pantheon covered, but what was provided was good for my level of interest.

interesting book for young children
