Once again Bellroy delivers
After having had this pack for a few months and using it for travel, work, commuting; I can safely say that it is a solid bag. This bag has been my personal item on several flights and handles the rigors of being toted around an airport, tossed into trunks, and shoved under the seat in front with virtually no signs of what has been done to the bag. The organization and capacity is perfect for my needs. My one nitpick is that there should be some type of water bottle sleeve, pocket in the interior of the bag. Otherwise, this bag is excellent and like all Bellroy products their is an air of refinement in the style and materials.

No water bottle pocket
Great aside from no place to put a bottle of water like almost all backpacks have. For the price of the pack, it should have this.

New bag
Love the bag. The only thing needed is an outside water bottle holder

College student 9 month review
The backpack is good; it’s water resistant, has bright space, and the pockets are a nice touch. My gripe with the backpack is the straps and no water bottle holder. While I knew it didn’t have a water bottle holder and was fine with it in the beginning, after a couple of months, it became a nuisance carrying a water bottle every day as I did more than 15k steps everyday. While this was more of a hassle after a while, my main gripe is the straps. The straps are very annoying as I need to tie them up so that the backpack doesn’t sag to the bottom of my back, and they feel very slippery and never stay in the position I had it. I never had this problem with any cheaper backpack, which is disappointing because this is a $200+ backpack, and backpacks I’ve purchased under $100 never had this issue. Everything else is great, but for these two reasons, I would never get the backpack again.

Well designed
Love the design, the material and the sturdiness of the product.

poor design terrible zippers, very frustrating
I purchased this for my commute to work, I walk to and from everyday about a mile in a city. First, it does not sit well on the lower back, it pushes a bit too much unless you pull it very snug up against yourself. Second and the most frustrating are the zippers. A few of the tabs pulled right off within 2 weeks and quite a few times the front zipper catches this thing that is supposed to hold your keys. I am so annoyed that I am just going to get myself a new backpack. Also, the vertical zipper in the front is very impractical because once you unzip it things can just fall right out. Terrible design, I wish I would have returned it.

Strong backpack
Again Belroy delivers a fine product with great quality. The outer material is somewhat on the stiff side when new, gradually becomes a bit looser when worn in with strong quality still. The compartments hold belongings separate and easy to access. The back side of the backpack is designed on the arc of the spine which makes for a really comfortable wear.

Great bag
Very pleased. I was concerned about a couple of the reviews saying the fabric was cheap. That’s not been my experience at all. The fabric feels like canvas. It’s thick and strong. It feels like it will last forever. The build quality is excellent. Lots of attention to detail and the design is great.

Decent bag with some major drawbacks
(Review downgraded after 8 months of use)Before buying this bag, I did a fair amount of due diligence, read most of the website reviews, watched the video and was aware of the various pros and cons before taking the plunge. For the most part there were no surprises, aside from one, see below.First off, it's a nice bag. The dimensions, the overall look, the feel of the material, the pockets are all quite nice and the bag is lightweight, carries weight comfortably and fits my back well. I'm particularly a fan of the top pockets. I also like the fact that in this second edition of the bag, they seemed to have fixed the zipper on the front which opens fairly smoothly, as compared the zipper on the first edition - at least according to the reviews. What I don't like is as follows:1) Minor gripe - The computer sleeve is low. I knew about this before buying. It works fine, but it doesn't give you that feeling of snugness you get with most bags. I believe it's been done to accommodate the top pocket, so no major foul.2) Small gripe - No bottle pocket. I knew about this before buying. I didn't think this would be an issue until my coffee thermos opened up twice in the bag (purely my fault), but it got me thinking, why wouldn't they put one in? I can't see how it would substantially affect the dimensions of the bag. Or how about a velcro strap?3) Medium gripe - It can't stand up. Most of the bags I've owned have had some semblance of bottom foundation so that they can stand up. Here I guess Bellroy was striving to keep the look streamlined and aesthetic. I knew about this before buying, but I didn't realize that I would find it slightly inconvenient. Not a major issue, but sometimes annoying4) Major gripe - The straps slide and become too loose on my shoulders. Generally speaking I don't like to use front clasps to harness my bag. I think it's an unnecessary extra step I need to take for something relatively simple like putting on a bag. Unfortunately given the wideness of straps and possibly the materials used, if I don't use the front clasp invariably one strap will slide off. This surprised me because I have relatively broad, high shoulders. I've adjusted the shoulder lengths to no avail; it still slides off. If I use the clasp, the bag feels fine and snug, but it defeats the purpose of having the front pocket, which is supposed to be an "easy access" pocket which you can reach into by just turning the bag on one strap and reaching in. It seems to me that the straps could have been closer, or Bellroy could have used some kind of better material to prevent straps from sliding so much. Surprisingly, I did not see this in any of the reviews I read so it may just be me. It’s super frustrating.Would I buy it again? I didn't really "learn" about how the bag until after about a week of use. Given the price, unless Bellroy came out with a newer edition which addressed gripe 4, I would not buy this again. I think I'd just opt for a much cheaper bag or maybe try out an Incase.
