Great cheap waterproof case
Like all waterproof cases, this one’s waterproofness lasts about a year. It has endured many falls, max about 8 ft. Survived many dunks, lost on the bottom of a river (5’ for about 30 mins). It’s been covered in fish slime, various cleaning chemicals, oil, dirt, snow, and various sticky substances. It’s held it’s integrity from falls better than other more expensive a cases. The only draw back is the waterproof seal. Lasted for about a year and then water started to seep in during testing. The camera lens cover scratches easily but I’m more impressed with the survivability. Also it works with wireless charging using an Anker charger, or equivalent charger claiming to charge through a distance of <5mm. I would have had to repair my phone numerous times if it wasn’t for this case. For a case that’s less than $20 protecting a thousand dollar phone? I’d say it’s held up pretty well.

Has not held up after 2 mo of use
The case is a nice slim design. Nice side grips. Screen has not lost any sensitivity. Phone has been dropped more times than I would of liked yet has stayed intact. I haven’t submerged the case but it has had it’s fair share of being left on my outside table and gotten a good watering w my plants. I’ve also sloshed enough paint to cover a house on it and it cleans up fine w damp rag. I haven’t had any issues w charging it; cords seem to easily be inserted. My complaint is no one can hear me very well. This includes when I have the flap over the charging port open; as mentioned in company’s description of product. When I say can’t hear me very well, it has been described as though I am talking in a can on a far away island. That it has to be silent, no background noise, in order to hear me even can on a island good. On my end, I’m constantly asking, “what did you say?” Because I simply cannot hear them. Frustrating when it’s a business call and you can’t just say text me because I’m getting none of what you’re saying. My last complaint is the screen over the lenses. Besides it still getting scratches despite the rubber ring that encircles it, the screen hazed over after about a month. All photos I take look washed out and often appear not focused due to haze. And like most, I utilize my phone for photos all the time. At this point, I have to take case off if I am wanting a clear, focused photo. What a pain!If you’re not into talking on phone as well as not keen on taking photos w your phone then you are all set with this case. Otherwise, I’d do a little more shopping around.

Best waterproof case ever
First off, I wasn’t planning of writing a review. Simple waterproof case, right? Well it is, just click it in and you are ready to go. We first got these cases for our beach trip last year, it survived the accidental drop in the ocean and pool, but that’s not what I’m going to review.Last month we went on a kayak trip, girlfriend decided to use the case again, after about 8 months of it being in a drawer. Well, she flipped off her kayak while going down the rapids, lost just about everything that wasn’t tied down, including her iPhone. So she ordered a new one when we got back home. 2 weeks later, yes TWO, she gets a phone call from a diver at the river, they found her phone. How did they know they found her phone… they took it out of the slimy waterproof case, charged it, and called the number displayed on the phone because we put it in lost mode, you know just in case some cell phone higher power was watching over it, thank you Steve Jobs… anyway… long story short, the phone had no water damage, no scratches, nothing, works perfectly. Now we have a spare phone for for the next trip that involves water.10 out of 10 recommend this case, I will be ordering a new case, the old case, well it was underwater for two weeks, I think it earned its retirement.

Not so great
After using the case for a month or so, I’m getting a different case for my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I first tested this case for wireless Qi charging. Because the outer case protrudes out (helpful for drop protection), it doesn’t get close enough to my wireless charger to charge the phone. Also, MagSafe charger should stick to the phone via magnets. Since this case doesn’t have its own magnets (the circle you see on magesafe compatible cases), the magnet doesn’t really stick. But you can charge the phone with it by placing it on the phone, however once you move the phone, it will not stay in place. The other day I dropped my phone when I was holding a few things and it protected the phone perfectly. Also, I took my phone in the pool a few times and had no water damage and even took underwater video. The bad part about using it in the water? The touch screen is nearly unusable. The screen protection is very flimsy plastic and the phone can’t figure out exactly where you’re touching the screen. So your finger touches make the phone go a little crazy. The water proof capability is only helpful if you’re not planning to use your phone much in the water. The iPhone 12 is also already waterproof, which I also tested. However, if your phone has any cracks in the screen or cameras, water will kill your phone without a case like this (happened on a previous phone). The cheap clear plastic covering on the cameras will do no favors to your photography. It feels like disposable product packaging. The plastic holds dirt and grease and more often than not, your beautiful retina screen loses all its beauty. It requires lots of cleaning and if you don’t clean it, your photo quality will degrade. It also has a lot of glare in the sun.Because the bottom of the case is designed to keep water out of your speakers, microphone, and charging port, it will also muddle up the quality of your phone calls. You can open the charging port cover to improve sound of your voice, but that’s not really the default position of it.It would be hard for me to recommend this case to anyone :-(Pros:Does seem to provide water-proofingHas effective drop protectionHas a cover for the charging port - keeps out lint, dust, and waterCons:Difficult to use the phone when wetQi wireless charging is difficultMagSafe wireless charging difficultCheap clear plastic screen coverCheap clear camera coverClear plastic gets smudged easilyDegraded voice quality on phone calls
