It's fast, but it can be slower than a Class 6 at times...
I bought two of these for an Android phone (Captivate) and tablet (Nook Color). The Nook Color is running Android (CM9) on the card itself, while the Captivate is using the card for extra storage. So far, both are running just fine without a problem.CrystalDiskMark 3.0 benchmark using an IOGear GFR304SD USB 3.0 card reader:Transcend microSDHC 8GB Class 10Sequential: 22.717 MB/s read, 21.559 MB/s writeRead 512KB: 21.947 MB/s read, 1.037 MB/s writeRandom 4KB (QD=1): 4.284 MB/s read, 0.010 MB/s writeRandom 4KB (QD=32): 4.498 MB/s read, 0.010 MB/s(I've also posted a snapshot of CDM & ATTO)For comparison, here's the CrystalDiskMark 3.0 benchmark of the Class 6 version using the same reader:Transcend microSDHC 8GB Class 6Sequential: 19.044 MB/s read, 9.785 MB/s writeRandom 512KB: 18.709 MB/s read, 1.578 MB/s writeRandom 4KB (QD=1): 7.014 MB/s read, 0.021 MB/s writeRandom 4KB (QD=32): 7.008 MB/s read, 0.021 MB/s writeAs shown in the benchmark, this Class 10 is fast when it comes to large sequential access, but is a little worse than the Class 6 version when it comes to smaller random access. I think this card is perfect for a camera or another device that primarily read/writes large files. In my case though, since I'm using it on my phone and tablet where small random read/writes are more likely, I probably would have been better off with the older Transcend Class 6 card.

I've used this same brand of card in the Raspberry PI and it worked fine.
I used this micro SD in a ROKU 3. (Yeah, I know 8GB is overkill for a ROKU but I overdo everything). When you get the screen that says an SD card has been detected and you are asked if you want to format it, click the "format" button. It will format part of it (maybe 50 or 60%) and then kick back to the "SD detected..." screen. Just be patient, click Format again and it'll format a bit more and then kick back to that "detected" screen again. You might have to do this 4 or 5 times before the ROKU formats all of it. Eventually it will and on the Settings-About screen , you'll see an SD card down at the bottom and showing its size as 7.8 GB (that's the correct size because years ago, HDD makers, et. al., started defining a KB as 1000 bytes instead of 1024 bytes- makes 'em seem bigger. This lie created a mathematical error which will be with us forever. Any 8GB card will be shown as 7.8GB)None of the above nonsense means that there's anything wrong with this SD card. ROKU can just get picky now and then.By the way, I've used this same brand of card in the Raspberry PI and it worked fine.

A practical speed measurement
I just hooked this newly bought micro-SD card into the bay of my laptop, a Sony VAIO S, mfd.2012.I copied the contents of my old cell-phone SD card (already in the laptop's hard drive) into this new Transcend 16 GB Class 10 card. The contents are very varied, from hundreds of tiny android files, to tenths of medium sized (~10 MB) MP3 files, to a dozen not-so-large (~60 MB) videos. The copy was done in Windows XP, with a regular drag'n'drop.Files copied: 1233Total size: 3.33 GB (3 577 251 119 bytes)Time taken: 6'42" (or 402")------------------------------Average speed: 8.9 MB/secThat's my practical result. According to this, some would deny its "class 10" status. But, how can you be sure the bottleneck isn't elsewhere, like the SD bay speed capacity, antivirus checking on the traveling files or whatever other factor? I don't know for sure, so I'll leave the speculations for the reader.A last note: I particularly like the accompanying Transcend's micro-SD adapter (I have an identical one from a previous Transcend and keep it inside the laptop's bay all the time, for practicality). I've seen many bad quality adapters out there, so this is worth a mention.

Works great in my Garmin
The latest map update from Garmin for my Nüvi 2450 was too large to fit on the internal memory of the device. I call that planned obsolescence. Even though Garmin states that they only officially support cards that are 8GB or less, I opted for the 16GB card since is was only $2 more and, if it didn't work, I could use it elsewere. The map update went well and the device works just the same as it did previously. Now I have lots of free space to store more vehicles, voices, pictures, etc. The speed of the map navigation looks to be the same too. I would guess the Class 10 card is probably overkill, but for the price it seemed like a good deal. I have other Transcend cards and they have all been very reliable.

Transcend 8gb Class 10 Micro SDHC
Bought Monday morning & I was impressed at the Thursday est delivery date, but was REALLY impressed when it arrived on Wednesday...with FREE standard shipping! As far as the card, it is noticably faster than the replaced crap 2gb when taking & viewing pictures on my Evo 4g flashed to MetroPCS. But when copying the 1.86gb ftom old card to new one it peaked at 5.9megs/sec and wss mostly at 4.5'ish. Not impressed there, but I can't say it wasn't for some reason other than the card as that is no official speed test.Computer is HP DV7 laptop running Windows 7 Professional w/ Dual Core 2.20 GHz AMD Turion X2 Ultra ZM-82 processors & 4 gigs RAM.

Works as advertised, nice and fast!
Can't beat this Transcend flash memory card.I got this card for my phone, so I copied everything from my old 8 gig class 4 card to this nice shiny class 10 card and it's worked no problems, my phone is working just as good as ever, I actually notice a speed difference with games loading and other things which is what I was hoping for.32 gig is a nice upgrade from my 8 gig I was using...plus it's class 10 so it's nice and fast!Lifetime warranty, so yeah don't have any hesitations about using this! I've used a couple of their other different flash memory devices as well and they've worked great too, so Transcend is a good company I will use again.

Good reliable chips, not UHS, but fast enough for most applications
This Transcend TS32GUSDHC10E 32GB SDHC chip is ideal for medium speed applications such as car-cam or storing photos and apps in a phone. It might not be fast enough for top quality video such as 4K which needs high data rates and for this application the UHS-1 chips are more relevant. My three chips passed the usual H2TestW examination (in PC with SD3 interface) with flying colours, well exceeding the Class10 spec, with write speeds between 18.5MB/s and 19.5MB/s, read speeds about 84MB/s and all with the advertised capacity of 31902400512 Bytes of which 32768 is used by the FAT32 file system. The adaptor allows me to test them (and later on read the photos etc) in the PC and yet use them elsewhere in the small format. These will be used in a phone and a car-cam, with one kept as a spare.Transcend are honest and mention the typical 10,000 erase/write cycles for a sector, which is much the same for all the other makes, and if the chip is to be used intensively re-writing the same location (eg as is possible in a PC) then it will have a relatively short life. Fortunately in a car cam for example where it rolls around and re-writes every three to ten hours of motoring, at maybe one to three million miles this will out-live the car. And in an ordinary camera or phone it will definitely not be a problem as the controller inside the chip also does some sector shuffling to even out the "wear"..What does adversely affect all makes of these chips is Electro-Static-Discharge (ESD), which can render them 'walking wounded' so they fail after a few hours or days or weeks or even months. ESD damage can be easily avoided simply by careful handling; just don't touch the contacts or brush them against anything. When sensibly labelled, the protective polythene cases Transcend supply these chips in are useful for keeping safe the spares stock if rotating a set through a video camera on a shoot. UHS-1

A good card that performs well
What can you say about a memory card? It worked out of the box and does what you expect. I've not tested read/write speeds, but both seem good. I'm using this on my Raspberry Pi (as the main disk) and it works well and seems to perform very well.I found it was cheaper to buy the Micro SD card with the Full SD adaptor, and a quick test shows that it works well too. Again I didn't test speeds, but I doubt it impacts performance. I saw no discernible difference.Overall a good card at a good price.

Transcend delivers - but only if your card-reader is fast enough!
After purchasing this and finding it achieved way-below-expected performance on my (old) laptop, with both its own built-in multi-cardreader and various Huawei 3G modem's MicroSD slot, I was disappointed - and suspicious! So I immediately ordered a Transcend USB3 card-reader to see if it was my own hardware that was to blame. Turns out it was! This cards (with the right hardware) delivered a very respectable 30MB/s read, 13.5MB/s write speeds. So I'm (now) very happy with this purchase.

Perfect to expand the storage on my phone can be ...
Perfect to expand the storage on my phone can be used to keep photos videos and applications on without using up the internal storage on my device. Flash storage has become extremely cheap in comparison to how much it costs to buy a phone with more storage. Worked perfectly after taking out of the packaging and has the same read and write speeds as mentioned in the description will buy from here again when looking for another micro sd. Meets the quality I expect from a well know brand such as transcend and comes with a useful adapter.
