Honestly I'm baffled that this company displays this portrait of a "toxic free" " organic" pillow.... I am extremely disappointed with the false advertising, buyers beware, the filling is Poly fill... which is 100% toxic.. Polyfill, or polyester fiberfill, is a petroleum-based, nonrenewable resource that is energy intensive and contains toxic chemicals. ... The main chemical in polyester is ethylene glycol, which is absorbed by the body through inhalation and skin contact and has been linked to kidney and central nervous system problems kinda comical that you just slip the toxic pillow in an "organic" pillow case and call it good!

There are so many toddler pillows to choose from and for the most part, the toddler pillow reviews and reports on the internet are not informative. They essentially do a cursory summarization of the product description and reviews from Amazon and not all conclusions or methods for ranking makes sense so I assume that that they naturally try to list as many popular options as possible to earn a commission through their affiliate link. In the end, I knew that I wanted to go with something not made in China, easy to clean, all the non-toxic considerations, organic cotton shell, reasonable price point (ie not dirt cheap or uber bougie) and a company who stands behind their products.I settled on Zack & Ali since it met my criteria. I was pleased with the swift delivery and packaging of the pillow. I noted no chemical smell noted upon receipt and the shell of pillow felt soft enough to use without a case. Before our first use, I washed it in the w/d. It fluffed up a considerably and although it flattened a little with use, it was still too high for my tot's little neck. He either slides off during the night, maintains contact with the points of the pillow or rests his head in an awkward position. So, I reached out to customer service and had a similar experience as the other people who contacted them-the owner, Jordan, responded within a day. His company sent over a flatter pillow in less than a week and let us keep the original pillow for future use. He followed up with me afterwards to see if the less stuffy pillow is working for us.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. My tot sleeps (and plays) with his pillow. The original pillow was a little too high for a new pillow user but the replacement pillow is perfect. As many reviewers noted, it's small but in a strange way, it works. It's training my toddler to sleep with his head at one end of the crib as opposed to migrating around the space. This will be useful when he graduates to a real bed. So far, the pillow is holding up to it's regular cleaning. I'm a fan of the gel fiber filling. It's silkier, more fluid and less rigid than the typical polyester filling, providing a more comfortable support for my little dude's neck and head. The outer shell of the pillow is soft enough to sleep on but we keep it covered with a pillow case to minimize the volume of our laundry. I highly recommend this product!

1 year update:The pillow is definitely not as fluffy anymore, and is now an acceptable level of fullness for toddlers. My child loves it and sleeps with it every night.Original post:False sizing description, which annoys me enough to leave only two stars. The pillow is nice and fluffy - but too fluffy for a toddler, my kid can’t even lay on this thing comfortably because of how plush it is. Maybe if the stuffing was in an actual 13x18 pillow it would be perfect, but alas, I was duped.

The pillow seems well made of soft material. I would have given five stars, but it claims to mimic down and it really doesn't. I use down pillows for myself, and this pillow doesn't squish or conform as well as down.However, I would absolutely recommend buying this because of its quality and the company is wonderful. The pillow I first received was filled a bit too much, and my daughter kept migrating off of it at night. The company emailed me to see if I was happy with the product, and when I told them what was happening they immediately sent me a new specially filled pillow.

The pillow is nice but I wish it was the size listed. It is more a 9x13. It does not fit the 13x18 pillowcase I purchased. How can I return or exchange?

Fantastic pillow. This is our 3rd pillow we have purchased for our kids. The first one we bought for our oldest and is still in great condition after 2 years. The other two were recent purchases for siblings. Its a little poofy at the beginning, but quickly settles down to just the right thickness for a toddler. This pillow has held up to A LOT of washes. I have tried other brands and they get really lumpy. I do not dry the pillow in the dryer. I wash on cold gentle cycle and let it air dry on our clothes rack. After it is washed it is typically dry by the next day.

My daughter which is 2 1/2 years old loves the pillow. I was so excited to find a organic soft toddler pillow for her on Amazon. It's a perfect size for a little head to customize ones self with sleeping with a pillow for the first time. With every thing new it might take a couple of nights to get the hang of keeping their head on it but practice makes perfect! Some kids might think it a bit to puffy but my little girl thought it was just right. Thank you for the wonderful craftmen's ship and clean materials to make this wonderful pillow. I will recommend to anyone looking for a toddler pillow to this company!

Oh my, this is the cutest little pillow you have ever seen. The first night we received it my daughter (21 months) slept through the entire night and didn't move her head off of it. She usually ends up upside down and backwards, kicking me and trying to lie on me and my pillow (we co-sleep in a king size bed), but that hasn't happened since! I love that it is organic, and the filling is the perfect loft. It is also super lightweight, so I don't worry about her having it at all. The price is a little steep compared to other pillows, but I think it was definitely worth it.
