24 feet of 12 inch real raffia fringe by Century Novelty

Exactly as advertised. The good thing is that it's real raffia, so it has a natural color, appearance and even smell. A potential downside is that it's real raffia, so it's about as durable as you'd expect dry grass to be.I thought it was a bit overpriced despite being a Philippine import, but it still looks very nice. I don't recommend leaving it exposed to the elements in order to preserve its lifespan.

Fortunately I read the reviews before purchasing, so the photo you see for the item listing is actually doubled. Definitely NOT what you want for a grass skirt unless you quadruple it (which would make it 6' in reality). I purchased mine to go around a gazebo to make it a "tiki hut", and it was perfect for it. This seller's price is a lot lower than other sites which was my deciding factor to buy it.

Ordered several packages and though all were in the same packaging, they were not made the same or the same length (top to bottom). They were also not all made the same. 3 of the packages were very dense and very consistent while the others were thinner and longer. If they had all been like the 3 good packages, I would have rated them 5 stars easily!

Used this for my Cabana to make window valances and they turned out awesome! It's not very dense, but you can move the strands of fringe together to make it thicker. I got three very thick valances (2 ft long) out of one of one with a little to spare for a doll grass skirt. I've got another one on the way.

I like this raffia but it won't work out for what I wanted it for. I am sure I will use it in a different manner so I will keep it.

I actually cut these into smaller sections and made them into window valances for a nautical themed cottage. The fringe is not as full as what the pic shows.

Picture is a little deceiving. The skirt is not as dense as shown. You can slide the grass down the string to make it more full. Not a big deal but an extra would have solved this.

Woven nicely at top and very full and natural raffia. I used it for valances in a surf bedroom theme and on the tiki bar outside as well as over the outside windows of the tiki themed porch/pool area. We love it and it's durable!
