Gay, Werewolves, and Copious Steam
The series so far has a good balance of steam and tensions while still keeping a fast pace. It really works, what can I say. This is either your jam or it ain't.

Very good addition to the series :)
3.5-4 starsThis was a pretty good story. I liked both Jed and Buzz and their story was very enjoyable.Buzz is a shifter and also gay. Unfortunately, most shifters look down on gay members of their packs if they're even allowed to live. Buzz's brother, Derek, is the Alpha of his pack and has kept Buzz alive, but only to serve his own purposes.Jed is also a gay shifter as well as the enforcer for the Timber Pack (which was formed in book #1, [book:Timber Pack Chronicles|20937536]). He's also close friends with the Alpha, Colton (who was the hero of book #1, is openly gay and has a male mate) so his preferences are accepted. Jed had been fine sleeping around but when he was wounded recently he started realizing that he'd like to find his mate.Buzz is in an unfortunate situation. Not only is he under his brother's thumb, his brother decides he needs Buzz to marry a female shifter to help solidify Derek's power. Derek doesn't care that Buzz will be miserable and basically makes it clear that disobedience will not be tolerated. What's even worse is the shifter woman he's supposed to marry seems sure to cause Buzz more misery than anything else. There's a shifter concave where the Alpha's and their mates and top people go to meet and discuss issues (like hunters that comes after shifters as well as less tactical things). The delegation to the conclave from the Timber Pack is Colton, Parker (his mate), Trey (the beta and Jed's besty) and Jed. Buzz is brought along by his brother as well as having to deal with his "intended" (who's already making him miserable). It's at the conclave where Jed and Buzz meet.Jed is thrilled to have met his mate but Buzz isn't so sure. He's swore his oath of loyalty to his brother and doesn't want to break that. Buzz also has been raised to believe that gay shifters don't get true mates and the best he can hope for is to make a marriage work. Buzz feels the pull to Jed but isn't sure if he can trust it and be with Jed. There are difficulties between Buzz and Jed for a while and I have to admit to some worry about how things would work out. Thankfully, Buzz realized some things and took a risk to eb with Jed. Unfortunately, Buzz's "intended" and his brother aren't willing to let things lie and there are a few different issues to be surmounted before things get settled. In the end, things end well and Jed and Buzz are happily together and starting their HEA.I enjoyed this story very much. I liked the characters and the story itself. The author does very good at keeping multiple aspects of teh story going at once so there always seems to be something going on to keep me engaged in the story. I have no real complaints about the story and overall, I liked it very much. I'm looking forward to more from this series. I'd recommend this book. :D

A Shining Follow Up
"Enforcer" is an entirely worthy sequel to the first Timber Pack book. It's an easy, well paced read without being unfaceted or forgettable. I loved it as dearly as all of Rob Colton's creations. The entire cast is back with a few welcomed additions. This time, the Alpha's enforcer, Jed, is the main character although all your beloved favorites receive plenty of showtime.A bit about the plot (A few spoilers!!):Jed is still suffering residual pain from silver poisoning, but maybe even more lasting is the damage to his psyche. Although he saved Alpha Colton's mate, Parker (in book 1), he is plagued by thoughts that he could have done more, could have stopped the psycho Ethan sooner. His deep pain of failure makes him impotent in every sense of the word.Upon the core Timber pack members arrival at the Conclave- a Lycan convention, if you will, Jed discovers the presence of his mate, Buzz. Buzz is the younger brother of Derek, a tyrant of an Alpha who expects unquestioning followers, especially in his brother, and Derek demands Buzz marry the daughter of another Alpha to gain pack unity.Eventually, Buzz and Jed reunite but not all is easygoing for the couple. Before they can bask in the glow of mated bliss, they- along with the entirety of the Timber Pack- must complete a rescue mission into the human hunter's base, overcome challenging exes and wade through the terrors of a two year old. It's not without its difficulties, but the end result for the couple- and the reader- are nothing short of pure pleasure (*wink wink*).While I think book 1 is my favorite (I adore Parker!), I think that book 2 is probably the better of the two. It has a depth that really anchors the story and Jed and Buzz are super cute together. I'm really looking forward to seeing where Jed's brother, Zef's story will lead...and trust me, there most definitely be a book about those two (please don't prove me wrong, Mr. Colton!). I smiled idiotically over Colton's, Parker's and Christopher's antics and generally just felt warm hearted about the whole thing. That isn't to say that trouble isn't brewing on the horizon- we certainly haven't seen the last of Alpha Derek or the hunters, and frankly I'm unsure who is more a threat to the Timber Pack.Fantastic, fun and great priced read- don't hesitate to read this or any of RC's books! :)

Another 5
Now we get to see Jed’s story. After he fought to save Parker from the rogue, Jed is still suffering from the effects of having a silver blade stab him in between the shoulders. Colton, Parker, Jed and Trey go to the Conclave where Jed smells the most sweetest scent following it to Buzz his mate. You also get to meet Miller, Colton’s mentor who’s also an openly gay alpha, and I think there’s another story there which I’m hoping we’ll get to read in the next book, as well as Treys own story

Can I join the pack please?!
I love this pack! There's so much going on. If I was a wolf-shifter, I'd want to belong to the Timber pack. Jed and Buzz make a wonderful couple when they finally get things sorted.Colton and Parker are still my favourite though. They get a surprise of their own but I'm not going to spoil it. You'll just have to buy the book and read it for yourself!Oh and @ 77p, Rob Colton I would've paid three times that much for it.Fantastic storyline, great characters and plot. Will Zef be next I wonder? I hope there'll be more in this series. PLEEEEEEASE!

still great and a bargain
I really don't know why book two is still so cheap after what must be the success of book one but at least it means you can grab a good solid read at a low price. This pack of werewolf shifters are likeable and as the books all feature the same core group of shifters you get to the end and you're trying to decide whose story you want to read next. I will probably download book three if it appears ( hint hint) without spending too much time reading the blurb as with this track record I'm confident it will be good. If you like werewolf stories you will like this I'm sure

Decent follow up
This isn't as fleshed out as book one and it doesn't have anywhere near the same amount of sexy times but it's still a decent read.Jed finds his mate but there are complications along the way including convincing Buzz that two men can be fated to be together.
