Works with Zynthian
Was getting terrible audio noise when sending USB midi from a laptop to Raspberry Pi running Zynthian then audio back to laptop through an audio interface. This makes the noise disappear almost completely. Still a little noise but inaudible above the music.

My USB dongle was kept turning on on my EV car;Which I found kept trouble shooting the 12v battery causing it to drain a lot and potentially causing ICCU problems.Plugged this and got power sourced from the power plug and all sorted!

Possibly the most honest product on Amazon
There’s no hype with this, it is exactly what it says it is - and they’ve literally made it transparent to prove it. The price perfectly matches the product spec. Didn’t solve my particular problem but that’s an issue with my equipment. Well done for providing an honest, well-priced product that solves a need without having to resort to high-priced, obfuscated snake-oil ! (Or taping over USB pins 🙂) Top marks 👍🏼

Works as advertised , but did not pass midi data
I bought this to eliminate interference noise , which it did , but while it should pass data , it didn’t pass midi data so was of no use for me sadly, ymmv.

Given the other reviews I thought I was just unlucky; twice bitten, thrice unconnected.
UPDATE:Nope! The replacement worked as badly as the one below and is also going back. No power AND no data! Dropping from 3* to 1*.PREVIOUS:... I guess I was just unlucky and might try ordering a replacement. Mine did more than the specs: blocked power, alright, but sadly data, too. Tried various devices incl. a self-powered USB hub and two phones. No tethering. DOA.But given the many positive reviews, I might try a replacement 🤞, coz it's cheaper than a USB cable, only to then mod it myself. Too much kerfuffle.

Sometimes there is a situation where you want to block the power supply and not the data transfer. Here's the solution. I recommend.

worked as required perfect
I had problems with my 3d printer screen coming on when powering up my dell wise (it also did the same with raspberry pi ) to fix the problem you need to isolate the power output from the USB and just have data transmission this fixed the problem and saved me cutting the USB cable
