Pentel Arts Oil Pastels, 50 Color Set (PHN-50)

I am really enjoying creating with these oil pastels. With the variety of colors, I can create landscapes, animals, whatever I can imagine. I wish my art talent was as good as I find these oil pastels to be. I appreciate how the colors blend so well together and the beautiful shades and blends of color that can be created on paper. My grandchildren also enjoy using these pastels to express their creative energy and talents.They have far more actual painting talent than I do and have painted some lovely, scenic views, people, etc. These oil pastels are easy to use, blend well and are just fun to use. I find it relaxing to color and play with the different shades for sunsets, plants, buildings, etc. For me, these are a wonderful way to spend some relaxation and creative time.

Technically there is nothing wrong with these, BUT about half had fallen to one side of the package. I assume it was how they were shipped (with other items and this was stood on it's side). So they were a little beat up and, because they are so soft, a little smashed up. I think if purchased separately, they'd arrive fine.That being said I'm quite happy with the quality and colors for the price.

Picked these up for my daughter because the price was great. She said the sticks are on the small size but she did like that there were so many great colors. She's excited to try the brand and for the price I can always pick her up a few more packs if she runs out.

I have discovered that it can be a hit or a miss with these. The last pkg I received was awful! They were not as smooth and silky as they should be. They only crumbled or refused to mark at all! Thankfully Amazon quickly replaced them! When the are good though, they are a great bargain

This is a really nice set of pastels for my particular needs. Rachel Reinert explains how to use pastels for color page backgrounds in her Color Workshop Guide available on Amazon. I think it's going to be fun to try them out and the price is very reasonable.

Great selection of Colors and good for coloring and other crafts. "Perfect for a lot of crafts" signed my 7yo Daughter..

These were purchased as a gift for my sister. She absolutely loved these pastels and loves making art projects that much better. I liked that there was a wide range of colors and plenty to choose from. Great product and would gladly purchase again.

Bought this set for my granddaughters and they love them! They are special enough that they only use them at a table when they want to create "special" artwork...a great idea from Grandma!
