GOOD QUALITY, SIZE IS PERFECT, ITEMS ARE COMPLETE
The product arrived on time. I ordered with another item from a different store and they arrived together. For some reason though, the boxes were wet with something (possibly oil). I am glad it idn'tpenetrate through my items. When I opened the box for this easel, it was packed well. It has a fabric cover for each pieces and it saved the wood from shipping risks. Assembling it took me just 2 and a half hours. Very easy. The items are labelled properly and they provided me with a cute tool too! The only thing I suggest everyone do is to really look at the images of each pieces and match which is which ( like how many dots are in the image and how many holes in the actual piece is - only because I had to restart when I placed 2 bases backwards.). If I didn't have to restart, I could have finished it in an hour and a half. In terms of quality, the varnish is beautiful. The wood itself is beautiful. The wood marks are pretty ( I enjoy looking at tiny details like this). But the only thing is, I slipped one part from my hand and had it fell on one base and it left a mark/dent. Indication that extreme force will hurt the wood. It is soft for carving, if you want to somehow customize and decorate your easel, but it is strong wood too because it doesn't crack or break. This seems like something to last a lifetime - if you take great care of it. I am planning on keeping it in one place and cleaning it every so often. My advice is, to keep this lasting (from what I see in the quality), wipe it every so often and refresh its varnish after two years or so. And do not un-screw it often. Keep it in place and this could last a lifetime. Wear and tear won't stand a chance. I am planning on covering the parts when I paint with masking tape too. To help protect the item. Over all, the product is beautiful, sturdy, complete and serves it's purpose. WORTH TO BUY. CAN LAST A LIFETIME.

Accessible Easel & Easy to Adjust!
**Handicap friendly besides assembly, ask a friend to help!** I was looking for an adjustable (height) easel because I cannot stand for long & so not have a lot of space to prop up art at a table & such. I saw this one can go almost to the floor, which might seem silly but I do sometimes feel more comfortable on the floor than in a chair, and I had to try it. The knobs are large & easy to tighten or loosen, however the instructions show different sized nobs on some (like parts E & F, but they are all the same size). The angle of easel is adjustable, and can fold up for more minimalist or small spaces. Please note this easel is heavy, not extremely but it is definitely not lightweight. I am glad it's sturdy and is not cheap by anymeans, but if you live alone & cannot lift heavier items, this might not be for you or leave it in a place you will always use it. I am interested in adding wheels or carpet sliders to make it easier. It has a place for brushes and such as well. I am about 5"3 and the total height hits my chin level when angled for use. It is wide but not extremely, I was worried it'd be too wide but it's fine. For reference I got the L. Assembly took me 1hr by myself. The instructions were mostly easy to understand however I wish some things were indicated better, like which side goes inside or outside, but otherwise it was visually comprehensible.

Quality Easel
Sturdy and versatile as to height of display. I am impressed by the compact design and it's footprint is minimal in comparison to a standard easel. Extremely happy with this item and would purchase again if the need arose.

Well built and easy to assemble
This is a well-designed product that was easy to assemble. I put it together in under an hour without assistance. Having help could be useful in one of the last steps. Otherwise, this is a straight-forward one person job. I've assembled many pieces of furniture and have often been frustrated by poorly constructed pieces, missing hardware, or poor instructions. This easel is the opposite. The individual wood pieces are well made, nicely finished, and clearly labeled. All hardware components (mainly screws) were separated into labeled packages, and every packet included extra parts. The instruction diagrams were clear enough that I didn't need to read the text, except for one step when I assembled a couple of pieces in the wrong order. That was my oversight, and it was an easy fix. I bought this as a Christmas gift and have not yet seen how well it holds up over time. I can't imagine what would break down though. If I do happen to over-tighten and break one of the screws, I’ll make use of the extra parts. This cost about $30 more than an almost identical easel on Amazon. However, that model had poor reviews, so I opted for this more expensive product. I can't directly compare the two products, but I have no regrets about purchasing this model.

Directions terrible
Directions were terrible. Part 4 of 7 especially. The picture actually is wrong. Swap 8 and 9 then open up the part that’s hinged. put Plugs in to align. It sits on top of not next to as picture directions portray. It took me 2.5 hours to put together. I do love it so I gave it 4 stars.

Good product and customer support
The product is high quality, very sturdy and assembly took about an hour. There was one piece that was missing hardware thread, but I reached out to customer support and they offered a small refund for the trouble. I was able to find a fix at the local hardware store which was great.

This is the most practical easel I have used, well engineered and beautifully finished. It is sturdy and stable whilst having a small enough footprint to make it usefull if youre short of space and headroom. The ceiling of my 'studio' is 88" from the floor: the central riser will extend to 91" and accept a 78" canvas, but it will still support a six foot canvas with the limited headroom room; some designs I've looked at will only accept the larger canvases if the riser is extended to 140" or more owing to the limited travel of the lower tray, so it's important to be realistic about your requirements and check before choosing. Unless you have high ceilings or a custom studio I think this classic design is one of the most practical I've seen. It is a very well made easel for the price. Having read some reviews about breakages I would advise not overtightening the adjusting knobs for the tray or the securing bracket: a moderate and slight pressure is all that's required and friction will keep everything secure. Make sure you have the brass plates for this purpose fitted behind the adjusting screws The only difficulty I had with assembly was due to the fact that the two base components with the feet attached had their labels transposed: picture 4 in the manual shows them numbered 8 and 9 in the manual, corresponding to left and right as you look at the back of the easel whilst in the folded position. Mine were numbered the wrong way around. It caused some head scratching for a while! I think it would be helpful if the pictures in the manual were larger and clearer, and would suggest that the manufacturer labelled clearly the front edge of these two components so it would be easier to get them the right way around. I advise taking care over the instructions and to persevere should you encounter a similar confusion. It is worth the effort. Poor labelling not withstanding this is a fine piece of kit.

I had very high hopes for this easel based on the rating and the number of ratings, and it doesn't disappoint! I did go through and look at the lower ratings and they seemed to be consistently about the assembly, so I will focus on that. Frankly, the directions were barely adequate. I am handy, have lots of experience with powr tools and making things, so I was able to figure it out and it only took about 45 minutes. TIPS: Pull everything out with the letter/number face up so they can be located quickly and correctly and keep them separate from what you're actually working on. At each step, pull aside all appropriate letters/numbers that you need an make sure you have the correct letters (screws) as some look identical - this caught me a couple of times. Lay out the pieces in their appropriate location and ensure the holes are all facing the correct direction as the directions show. STEP 1: Put in pieces 3 and 4 first, but only finger tighten until you get piece 5 in place and tightened. STEP 2: When screwing in, do the very bottom right, and the very top left to ensure the holes line up. Piece 13 was shipped in piece 10. I kept them together. For step 2, I slid it up enough to attach piece 10 and 4. And for step 3, I slid piece 13 up to insert the plate for the nob behind it. STEP 4: This one was confusing because of perspective of the drawing, but pieces 8 and 9 are the base, and they are resting ON the pieces of the backing. Also, put in the pegs and the screws at the same time. STEP 5: Attach pieces 7 at the sides (E) before standing it up to attach F. STEP 6/7: Fairly straightforward. This is a great easel! I've only ever used cheap tripod styles, and they were always a disappointment. I can see me getting a lot of use from it. I only wish I had gotten the one with wheels as it's quite heavy - and very sturdy! Shown in the photo is a gallery stretched canvas: 1 1/2" thick, 30x40"
