I have a big orange kitty (13#, 15-17" long, 11-12" tall at the shoulders) and the old carrier I had definitely wasn't large enough for him, but this one has plenty of space for him to get comfortable! Also love the double sided mat for summer and cooler months

Great cat carrier but it says up to 20lbs. I have a large cat at 17lbs but putting him in there was like putting a hot dog in a bun!! I couldn't use it just because I didn't want him so uncomfortable. Going to the vet is enough of a trauma for him lol.

Not scary for the cat. I did the set up in about 3 minutes without reading the instructions. Then I set the open topped cat carrier in the middle of the living room. It didn’t take long to have a cat jump into the carrier out of curiosity. When I zipped up the top every one of our 4 cats tended to make themselves small in the carrier. None of them tried to get out. Even after opening the carrier up at the Vet’s I had to reach in and lift the cat out. This was much easier than trying to pull an unwilling cat out of the end of a hard sided traditional carrier. We now leave this soft sided wonder sitting in the corner with the top open and folded back for the cats to jump into and out of whenever they wish. It has become a favorite place for a nap.TnT

I have a hard plastic carry case for my 13 pounder which is rather hard to carry when she's in it.This soft sided carrier is so much easier to handle in many ways. First, it is so much easier to get her into because there are 2 options: top or front entry. It's lighter weight and easier for me to carry. It's more comfortable for her-she feels less trapped on our very long trip to the vet (5 minutes!) It is very versatile-has a long strap or a carry handle, a reversible floor mat for summer or winter, it folds down into an easy to store flat package, and much more.It requires MINOR assembly which is super easy if you read the very clear instructions.I love it and highly recommend!

Great For a medium or large cat, but not design for a “Garfield” size cat. Otherwise good. Measure your kitty cats appropriately.

This carrier needed to have these braces put in and it was extremely difficult. I struggled with it for well over an hour before I finally got them in. I really think a different design would work better. It is supposed to be folded up after use but who is going to want to do that if it is so hard to put together? If I had known it was going to be so hard I would not have purchased it. As it is I was very close to returning it. I couldn't even fold it up. No instructions came with it, you were just supposed to know.

Top could be made sturdier as cat jumps on it before going inside
