A pair of very realistic, but illustrated, eyes on these spectacles gives the wearer an unsettling and absurd appearance. The heavily made up lids of the feminine design can cause even more laughter when ill-suited to the person. Small apertures in place of the pupils on the pictures mean that vision is not entirely obstructed.
