Red Fox The Runaway Train (Paperback)

This was a nostalgia buy, a great favorite when my children were young. Would have been nice to get the hardback, but too expensive.

This lovely little book is a firm favourite with my 2 year old daughter. The story has enough repetition to help her learn but not too much to stop her being interested in what happens and how the driver eventually catches up with his runaway train. The size is perfect for carrying out and about in my handbag too, great for keeping her at the table while waiting for food in a restaurant.

We love the book, had bought it new originally, and the young baby tore out the pop-ups. As I couldn't find it again at the bookstore, I looked on amazon and found it in the used section. Unfortunately, the most important character of the book (the train) was missing in the book, and some other pop-ups were also missing from the pages. The children were quite disappointed, and I will probably not buy another used pop-up book.

Fantastic book. Really pleased with purchase. Daughter loves it. Beautiful illustrations and beautiful story. Great for any train lover! Would also highly recommend the others in the series, we now have them all as much loved.

Its a Christmas gift for my grandson, he already has one of the books and he liked it very much, will give me the new one tomorrow, I am sure he will love it.
