As others have said this is not a heavy strong table, it's a lightweight plastic table with a thin aluminum post for it's base. If you're a live bait fisherman and plan to use this on every trip to cut bait or fillet your catch, you probably want a better one. If you're like me and only use it occasionally it's a good value considering what some other tables cost. If you sit on this or drop a 10 pound fish on it you'll likely break the table off the base. But if you're reasonable and use it for chopping small bait or as a food & drink table, you'll be fine.

All of my rod holders on my boat were too big for this to stay in. The stopper piece (lack of better word) was smaller than the rod holder holes. I had a rod hold I had bought to put in a kayak that it fits in and just installed that in my boat. It just happened that where I wanted it to go there was no rod holder there anyway and this worked out for me. If however that wasn't the case, I would have had to send it back. Maybe my rod holders are larger than the new boats since my boat is an 1988 Mako. Your holders may work. The rest of it seems to work fine and was much cheaper than most I've seen online.

It’s a nice platform to cut bait or to place items to rig a line. A very nice product for the reasonable cost.

The adjustment is only in one direction, like a hinge, not a ball-in-socket. I kinda figured that, but that was ok due to the way i was mounting it (vertical pole holder). However, the notches on the pole (which is a plastic tip with notches) is NOT aligned with the hinge so the table sits crooked in the holder with no way to adjust.I contacted the seller to ask if they could send a new pole, but they said they were out of stock (Amazon doesn't show them out ;)), so they offered a discount. I agreed without knowing how much the discount would be... 10%, which was $3.99. I think I would have rather had the replacement pole, but oh well. At least they did do that for me.Other than that, the table isn't super sturdy, but it works for cutting bait. The pole is slim (as you can see in the pics) so there is a collar that wedges in the holder (slides on the pole) to help stabilize the table. You MUST make sure that collar is pushed down or the table wobbles all over the place. The table material itself isn't like the other tables that are HDPE (high-density polyethylene). This one is a little "lighter". But, it doesn't cut as easy, or at least it seems. There are no drain holes, which works well for my application. There's also no knife slot to hold the knife, which is a bummer. Also, the previously mentioned plastic tip with the notches has a big lip that gets hooked on the rod holder liner. I pull the liner out every time i pull the table out of the rod holder... real pain in the arse.Overall, you get what you pay for and this is WAY cheaper than most other options out there. However, when this one goes, i'm dishing out the money for a high quality table.
