Dewey Rods Abs-2S Adj Rod Guide 13In

Works well to protect your chamber as you clean your rifle. I read that most damage to rifle barrels is done while cleaning. This product is supposed to help prevent damage. It does work well for making sure your cleaning rod is straight into the bore and protecting the chamber. The brass screw is supposed to go where your bolt would close. That is the only area I see that could be improved. It does not lock in and can wiggle around a lot since it is small in diameter compared to a typical bolt handle.

Abs3 is advertised for 30 caliber. Yet it does not fit 300 wsm it seemed too large and the o rings would not seat at all. So I overnighted the abs2 thinking it might fit since it is for a little smaller cartridges. It arrived and it is the same diameter rod and o ring placement as abs3, the only difference is the abs2 is longer. So moral of the story is that it doesn't fit either because all the dimensions are the same as abs3. I'm not sure what's going on here. Guess I need to get in contact with someone at Dewey. I'm just mad that I have a shoot coming up and I can't clean my rifle properly. The rifle is a rem 700 which is specifically named as a firearm these bore guides are suppose to work with. I have prob $75 bucks in these things now and can't use either of them on the rifle I was buying them for.

did not realize it would not work in Weatherby Vanguard S2 - so I had to return it. Found Dewey makes one specifically for Weatherby Vanguards, but after scouring the internet about the only place to buy was at Dewey's website. Got it from the manuf. and it works great in keeping gunk out of chamber.

Bought the guide for use with scoped rifles. It extends about 3 or 4 inches past the scope so now the brush on the cleaning rod does not completely clear the muzzle. I will probably end up cutting an inch or so off of the guide and it should work fine.

Fits my bergara lrp in 6.5 great. I wish I had a shorter version so I wouldn't have to mess with my cheek riser to clean my gun, but that aside, the product does what it's advertised to do.

Thins thing is great. It keeps my chamber clean. I probably don't clean my guns enough, but when I do - I use this Dewey Rod.
