Works Great
Been working great for several months in my Toro Timecutter

Perfect for intermittent run machinery
I installed this on a 2HP air compressor, wired it parallel to the pressure switch output so I'd get exactly how much time the motor has run. The meter came with spade connectors and simple instructions. I added some heat shrink over the connectors (which were insulated, but didn't fully cover the spades when pushed on) and it's been running great, clicking up the hours on the compressor. I will probably buy more of these for other machinery around the shop.

Edit - Hasn't moved in weeks. Died after about 4 hours.
*update* Seemed like a fantastic simple object, and then it stopped working entirely. If it isn't reliable, it's worse than useless. It gives a false sense of security over something that can be very important in regards to motor life and oil change scheduling. Instant 1 star.-previous 5 star review follows. Not too much to say. It works.I installed it on my two stage compressor that's nice enough to care about scheduled oil changes.I didn't have a larger switch box to fit it into, only a pressure switch with a plastic cover, and a very small thermal switch box with no room for the depth of this.I decided I'd wire it up loose out the pressure switch motor side, and then 3D print a housing for it to fix it to the top of the compressor. With the intermittent motor cycles of a compressor, it's hard to really estimate how long it's been running for, as it ranges on what it's being used for, which changes air use continuously to a point where the compressor kicking in or not is forgotten... So a device like this is really helpful to gauge when to do an oil change. As noted in the instructions here, I wired it directly to the motor wiring from the pressure switch box. In my case, that was the mains input point as well. If I'd wired it directly to the mains side, and not the motor, it would be powered continuously and run up based on that, so make sure you wire it to the motor side of whatever you're installing it to, unless you actually want to know how long a machine is being powered on for, in use or not.It works flawlessly and the 16awg wires I used (it's what I had on hand) ran cool for it's entire pressure range before it switched off.I did note that it wasn't set entirely to zero when I started using it, so I was likely about 5 minutes in with it registering 10 minutes. The subsequent run time was seen to be accurate after that.

As Described
I used this on my new air compressor. I just wired it to the motor side of the switch and when the power comes on and the motor starts, it starts counting up the hours

Did not last
Time was wired to air compress to track total amount of hours compressor ran. Timer stopped working at 65.4 hours.

Great little hour meter
Used it for a commercial vacuum at work that needs to be serviced every 400 hours. When using it on an electric motor supply wire it in parallel (one tab to black and one tab to white), it won't run the motor in series.

No instructions at all, no marking's on meter-not sure it will last. will update review later.

Quit working at 576 hours. Not truly Mechanical.
Not truly Mechanical. It has circuit board inside with a crystal and an IC. Not truly Mechanical. Not durable. Poor quality, it quit working at 576 hours. Better look for a better one. The faceplate is superglued into place.

Calcul de mise en marche en heure du radiateur 4500 watts .Branché en parallèle il fonctionne très bien à chaque jour je fais un relevé des heures de mise en marche.

Stopped working after 3 Hours
I installed this hour meter on my brand new air compressor. Since the compressor automatically turns on when needed and cycles for 45 seconds, to keep track of run time and change the break in oil at the 10 hours, this meter was perfect. HOWEVER>>>>>> The meter crapped out after 3 hours. Now I have no idea how many hours are on my compressor.
