Great Purchase
I owned an AfterShock many years ago. I was thrilled to finally find one. I am disappointed only with the fact that I can't find the drivers for it. It works fine but, without the drivers there is no rumble. This does not take away from the fact that this is still (in my opinion) one of the finest controllers ever made. Grab them while you can because they aren't made anymore and they seem to be more difficult to find. It is a good reliable controller but it is also one of the best feeling I have ever held. Great product by an extinct sompany. Gravis was where it all started. Plug it in and it works without software but you don't get rumble. Unless anyone knows of any 3rd party drivers?

Excellent Gamepad with one major flaw
Gravis Pads have long beaten the standards for both simplicity, and programmability, and this pad is no exception. However with the untimely closing of Gravis, the software required for certain features (rumble) does not work with Windows7.With so many games, not running properly in WindowsXP, it's hard having to give up the rumble feature to play certain games.

spicy dodo
When it first came out I'm sure it was pretty out stuff but in these times it just sucks the company even when under so yeah this one is a no no.

Damn good controller
First off the size off the controller was a surprise. It's very big and does have deadzone problems right out of the package. The diagonals won't read all the way until you go to Start>Devices and printers> right click > advanced > calibrate. But once you do that I promise you it's a controller worth having.

Gravis should have updated the Gravis Xterminator and never bothered with this pile
when my Gravis Xterminator gamepad failed due to the cord Gravis sent me one of these as a replacement, I wish I kept the Xterminator and found a way to replace the cord to be honest, because I think after the Xterminator gamepad this thing leaves people in shock with disappointmentprosit has a nice feel to it and the button layout is kinda nicehas a rumble featureconsit has no real dpad, the dpad is set on an axis not true digital buttons(unless your game compensates for this the dpad wont work as with many of my games)the cord is flimsy and fails much easier than the Xterminator Gamepad did(the cord on the Xterminator lasted for almost 2 years before it began to fail, the cord on this one lasted about 3 months)the rumble feature only works with the Gravis software and drivers installed which is CPU heavy and rather lousythe Xterminator gamepad was superior in almost every way, the only thing this had that the Xterminator gamepad did not was a rumble feature(which did not work without the Gravis drivers and software installed), honestly as nice as rumble/vibration is I would rather have the superior quality of the Xterminator gamepadsomehow Gravis thought this pile of garbage was a good replacement for this --> Gravis Xterminator Digital Game Pad (PC/USB Mac) my advice, if you must have Gravis find a Xterminator Gamepad Digital USB in the link above or perhaps search for one on Google, if you do make sure it has the USB adapter with it, otherwise there are plenty of cheapy controllers out there you can get that are far superior to this thinganother note about the Xterminator was it was almost fully functional without the Gravis software, only things that did not work was the quick switch and assigning buttons to keyboard functions
