I just wanted to avoid long cables inside my car and this does the job. I just wish it was maybe 2 inches longer (in its natural state, not when it is stretched), because it is kind of short but it works for what I need it.Also, the price I think is a little steep for some generic chinese charging cord. I hope LASTS. I would be mad if I just spent $15 and this cord only lasts a month or two. I guess time will tell and I will update the review if that happens. I will also update this review in about 6 months if it is still workingThe fair price for this cord should be somewhere around $7.99-$8.50. But $14.99 is a little high, or at least if they sent you 2 cords for $14.99 it would be better, in case one fails, you still have a back up!

Couldn't be more perfect. Just the right length (when coiled)! Easily stretches to when I need to bring it up to me for closer read! Totally recommend the shorter cables for a vehicle. Black is also the way to go in the front seat, simply for distraction purposes! I find that any colored cable catches my unwanted attention with my peripheral vision. Yes, I'm bad like that, but it is what it is. I had the HAMA cigarette coiled cable, but it gave out (after three years of everyday use mind you) so I decided to go USB instead. Very happy so far, and I get more visuals on the display with album art and such when selection iPod (i know, RIGHT!?!) instead of Bluetooth. Great cable! Go for it! A solid FIVE STARS out of five.

I use it to hook up my phone in the car for charging it or playing audio. That it coils is what makes it great. It stretches plenty so that I can pull it toward me to attach the phone, and when the phone's not attached, it retracts, and you would hardly know it's there. That was not the case with my previous, 3 foot straight cable, which was always flopping around in plain sight.

I love the fact that this is my solution to minimizing wire clutter in the car. It keeps the wire nice and tight and provides the right distance from my phone to the USB charger, plugged in to the cigarette lighter socket. Find the right length that works with your application.As for charging, no issues with the iPhone X. It fits snuggly in the lightning port.

While the coiled section is very convenient for use in car, this does not seem to have the appropriate chipset to stay reliably connected to CarPlay. I ended breaking down and buying an Apple branded cable so I could avoid the random disconnections or music pauses and I do not regret it one bit. I'm keeping this as a convenient charging cable but I wouldn't use it for connecting to a CarPlay enabled in-dash infotainment system. It's just not reliable.

Best charging cord for my car that I have ever had! I broke mine today through fault of my own, and immediately called Amazon to get a replacement. It keeps the cord out of the way, but if I need to talk while it is plugged in I have no issues. I haven't had a need to stretch it to its max because even though it looks short, it's still 3ft of stretchy cord. I have an iPhone 7 and there are no compatibility issues and it charges fast. I don't suspect that this is a low quality product because its my fault that the cord broke, but overall it seems like an awesomely sturdy and reliable charging cable and I recommend it for the car or desk (areas where you don't have much need for it to be stretched to full capacity like sitting on a couch, bed, or floor.)

I bought 2 of these as back-ups to the 1.5' all-in-one car charging cable for traveling in Florida. It was important that they work as I was going to be relying on my iPhone's GPS to navigate so I tested them all before I left. They all function flawlessly before and during the trip. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great product that fits great. It's about 20" uncoiled and can stretch to almost 4 feet, but that's really stretching it. The coil itself is a hard coil and what I mean by that is that it takes a fit of strength to stretch it out and that it's very springy. We are using this for an outlet (with USB Ports) we have under our kitchen island that will allow us to charge our phones and when the charger is not being used, will "coil" out of place and hang down yet not touch the floor. The coil allows it to sit comfortably on the counter, but stretching it to show someone something on your phone may require you to unplug it because the coil will either pull the plug out of the outlet or spring your phone back and onto the floor. I would suggest to break it in a little and stretch it out just a tag to allow it to have a little bit of give and not be so strong.

The cord looked new with decent quality. However, when I tried to use it for CarPlay, it wouldn’t connect. An OEM Apple lightning cable worked just fine using the exact same connections.
