This swimming ladder cover is exactly what I needed. It fits snugly over the ladder base and helps protect both the ladder and the pool liner. This mat was perfect for what we needed. It was just the right size to put under our pool ladder, which floats up. Hoping to prevent damage to the pool liner while we wait for the sandbags to arrive.

I added the sand and unfortunately the scientist keeps coming out no matter what you do and your pool is contaminated with tons of sand. I ended up using a clear csulk made of silicone to slow that down.

While all of the photos show this product in a roll, it actually ships folded up. When unfolded, there are whitish blue stress marks along the fold which I found surprising if this is a high quality rubber. The marks are more prominent on the back than the front. The product is easily cut to fit but I was also surprised at how easy it was to tear by hand. Since it just sits under a ladder I have confidence that it will perform well. Would I buy it again? I think I’d shop around first and perhaps end up picking this product again. If it’s high quality rubber, I expect to get at least three years of service out of this matt before the chlorine causes it to deteriorate.

Great quality, especially for the price, material seems very durable.

Make sure you look at the size because the one I received is smaller than a puppy pad insures the hell will not work for my steps
