For the money is a great platform
Bought for $760 with i5-6400 and gtx1070 it performs silently with the HTC Vive on AAA titles such as Skyrim VR. So far all games in VR have worked without stressing the machine. In None VR I play Sea of thieves at 60fps max settings flawlessly at 1080p. I suspec tit will handle 144 mhz video at 77fps. Since buying this refurb unit, I've not seen a price anywhere near this for a machine with equivalent performance. Yes i5-6400 is 2 years old, but still a solid performer. i7-6700 is still $350 for the Z150 chip set if I feel the need to upgrade. Silver chassis looks good. We added an Inland SSD 480gb for $72, currently $62.99, and she's running smooth, quiet, cool and fast!

Solid space saver with great performance
This is a really great desktop coming with top of class GTX 1070 graphic card with 8GB GDDR5. I bought the base model so that I could do somy DIY on my own. I ended up put Samsung 960 Pro 256GB M2 SSD and additional 8GB memory. Very satisfied. The tower is relativly small and a space saver. It is also an solid build and has a brilliant design that does not require removal of a single screw when opening the case. Once you pull the handle and open the case, you can easily lift up the power supply and access all core component. Very easy to upgrade. You will never get this design and quality when you build your own. I would highly recommend this Gaming tower.

Amazing, but watch for price drops before buying.
Just to clarify, I bought the computer when it was around $815. That makes it a great deal. On dell's website, the computer with these specs runs for $1250. However, I have seen it going on here for around $950, so it's your choice if you want to wait. Anyways, on to the actual review. The computer is decently fast for most things. It has a i5-6400 as its CPU, which is a mid tier processor. It will be able to handle anything a typical person could want, but any heavy processing will take a little while compared to its bigger brothers. If you want a computer for heavier simulations, consider upgrading the CPU later. The RAM is also good, using DDR4. However, it is limited 2133 MHz which is not bad but not the fastest. The real beauty here is the graphics card. It comes with a GTX 1070. At the time of this review, it is either the fifth or sixth card on the market. It will run most modern games at 1080p and 60 fps maxed out without any issue. Really, it could do many games at 1440p at 60 fps maxed as well. Just know the CPU will bottleneck some games, but you'll only lose about 10-20 fps depending on the game (should not be noticeable if you lock yourself at 60 fps). Overall, it makes for a very powerful gaming desktop. There are some other things to note before buying this. There two "sizes" you can choose from. I bought the smaller version. Looking at the larger one, you get a much better processor, more RAM, more HDD space, and a solid state drive. However, it looks like you're downgraded to a GTX 750Ti. I'm not sure because under technical details it still says GTX 1070. I'd just like to caution that.I don't know what else to say. It looks nice? It's not over the top in its design like a normal "gaming desktop". Overall, I recommend getting this.

XPS 8910 Signature Edition (7942SLV model with NVIDIA GTX 1070)
Getting everything I expected (and some more) from my XPS 8910 Signature Edition. Quick multitasking due to i7-6700K CPU Skylake and 16 GB DDR4 RAM, amazing video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with 8GB GDDR5 for my 3-monitor setup. Super quiet - no noise whatsoever. Was slightly apprehensive about hard drive configuration, but Seagate HD ST2000DM 001-1ER164 (7200 RPM 2 TB) with 32GB M.2 SSD and SATA RAID controller provides quite adequate (and speedy) data storage.Last thing to mention, but also important for me: I like new design of XPS 8910 very much - it is pure, simple and stylish at the same time. No strangely shaped cases with funny glass windows or flashy LED lights, no other such nonsense for me, please. DELL did it just right!P.S.: Note that I'm talking about Dell XPSE8910-7942SLV model, with i7 processor, 16GB RAM and 2TB hard driveP.P.S.: noticed something fishy - now 7942SLV listed not GTX 1070, bit with GTX 750Ti with 2GB GDDR5, weaker graphics card, with lower price. My review may be not accurate anymore...

Only buy used from Amazon warehouse.
This desktop is easily upgradeable, and has a great graphics card. Yet for the regular price at 1000$ it is NOT worth it. BUT, if you can get one of the used Amazon warehouse ones for under 800$ it is a great deal. The graphics card itself as of summer 2017 is 350$+. It can run Witcher 3 at 1080 on ultra graphics with 60fps if you add 8gb of ram. Great buy if you purchase it under 800$ used from Amazon warehouse.

but it's a great machine that performs like a champ
Recently started a new job working from home in software development. I needed a powerful computer and this one exceeded expectations. It doesn't look fancy, but it's a great machine that performs like a champ.

Very happy with this machine
Runs Steam Link on a wireless setup. The computer sits upstairs and casts games to the living room TV. No lag issues. Bought the computer for the graphics card. Price was 799. Very happy with this machine.
