Gator Skin 650c
Previously I've bought Conti 3000. They are a great tire and I usually get, if I rotate them. a little over 4500 miles. I bought the Gator Skins this time because of price. Like most folks these days, I'm cutting corners, especially on non-essentials like bike tires. The Gator Skins are, as the name implies, rugged. They also required a little extra muscle to mount them on my Campy aerodynamic rims. As of now, I only have about 40 miles on these new skins, but I'm very impressed with the roll and the improved ride. If they last anywhere near the 4500 mi I got with the Continental 3000's, I'll be a totally happy camper. I'd reccomend these tires to my mommy. Update: I now have over 1,000 miles logged since installing these tires and my opinion has not changed one iota. Anybody know what an iota is? I looked it up and found that it is a real word. Anyway, yes, I love my Gatorskins.

Great daily tire for road bike.
This went on my daily-commuter 1996 Cannondale road bike, which has 700 wheels strangely enough. These tires are great for my commute, and never worry me about damage. Paired with Conti tubes.

Good value
I’ve put about 1000 miles on them and they still look and ride nice. Install was easy enough, the walls are pretty thick so you do have to muscle them a little to get them around the rim.

Best Tires on the Market.
My mom is an avid triathlon athlete, which means lots of cycling. She wears out tires fast! Also, she is always paranoid about getting a flat during a race. The Conti Gatorskins are the best tires on the market. She has never had a flat in training or during a race using these tires. They are not the lightest tires, but the durability more than makes up for the weight penalty. Mom gets almost a year out of a set of these tires, and they make a fantastic Christmas gift! Roll on!

They look great and ride very well
They were hard to get on and I pinched a tube doing so. I tried to lube it with dish soap but in the end it just took some extra muscle and precaution to avoid pinching the tube. They look great and ride very well. They have excellent traction given how hard the rubber is. I look forward to taking this on longer trips.

Excellent tires for the price
I've been using them for years. They wear very well and are virtually puncture proof. I think I've only had one flat in the past few years despite riding over 2000 miles a year. Another nice feature is the dimples on the tire that will give you an indication of when they need to be replaced. Good value for the price.

One was defective.
Can I just reply to the above question say that you need some zip wheels to get laid not just a new tire!. So I have 650 wheels. which were more popular 15 years ago when I bought my trek. But now it hard to find tires. being concerned about my safety my old serfas tires were so old, I ordered these. I couldn't find the same tire in my size anymore. I saw one review who said that one fit fine and the other didn't. well, that's what happened. The first one when in great!!!! The 2nd One I spent an hour on. Then it kept pinching my tube. and I couldn't convince it not to pinch it! I've been riding for 15 years I know how to change a tire within 15 minutes. So then it was flat the next day and I just spent another hour taking it off and putting it back on. and now I'm pissed. I read a similar review somewhere else saying they like the Kendra over this kind I returned these and ordered those.

This tire is expensive as it is, but because of the specific size I needed and the excellent quality and durability that the Gatorskin has, I definitely would buy it again. This tire is very resistant to punctures, yet it is light. It is a more commonly found in 700c but if you need 650c, this is one of the few models still in existence.

Another happy customer. Swapped the Hutchinson Equinox that came with the bike as I was tired of getting punctures. Ride about 15 miles each weekday through inner city Manchester and without fail I would get a puncture once every 2 weeks (managed to get it twice in one week once). Been using the same route with the Gator Skin for a month now and so far- no fricking punctures! Feel as though the old Hutchinson was speedier. These feels to 'drag' a bit, only notice it on occasion. Since I mainly use the bike to commute and not for anything competitive, not complaining. Was easy enough to replace. Seem to retain the recommended 120psi longer than the old tyre. Only pumping it once every 2 weeks. Update July 2016- Due to poor planning and misguided recommendations- cycled almost 2 miles on a trail that's meant for mountain bikes. Loads of jagged loose rocks. STILL NO PUNCTURE!!

Very robust tires. Has been 3 months and no punctures so far vs 4 punctures with my previous tires.

Llego rapido y bien empacado, pero esperaba la version flexible, no esta bien espeficicado que tipo de neumatico estas comprando, de igual forma sirvio. Apenas la instale por lo que no puedo dar opinion sobre su durabilidad

Classic continental tyre in a different size. Great, puncture resistance, good ride , all round one of the best tyres for whole year riding.
