RothcoCanvas Shoulder Duffle Bag Military Canvas Gym Bag

Great bag
I'm actually very pleased with this little duffel, I bought it for the specific purpose of being a gym bag, but it needed to be small enough to fit inside my motorcycle saddle bag. This bag works perfectly just large enough to hold everything I need yet small enough to fit inside of my aluminum box saddlebag on my dual sport. Solid construction, heavy canvas is sturdy yet still kind of light weight. I bought the Coyote Brown. Great color all around, pleased. I'll probably buy another one honestly.

Great fit for Muay Thai gear / not waxed but fix in comment
The media could not be loaded. Great for my Muay Thai gear, fits shin guards, pair of 12 oz bag gloves, pair of 16 oz sparring gloves, cup guard, mouth guard, and jump rope with a little room to spare to throw in a spare hoodie or sweatpants and shirt. Most other gym bags were either too small to fit 2 gloves or too big, this is pretty much a perfect fit for the gear I mentioned and looks cool and vintage.Yeah it’s not waxed. I wanted some water resistance, so I bought a dollar store unscented candle (paraffin wax), smoke shop torch, and used the torch to keep heating the top of the candle, rubbed it onto the bag, then heated it with a blow dryer to let it melt and absorb into the fibers of the bag evenly, wiping away excess with an old shirt. Now it’s pretty water resistant as the video shows(but won’t be that way before doing this), still doesn’t look like the pictures but it would if you do the waxing job properly, not the ghetto way I did it! But at least it’s water resistant now.I bought a returned one for around $19, so great price all things considered and great quality, will last years as long as the zippers hold up. (Can’t tell if plastic or metal)

I've had it for over a year and it is a great bag! I bought it for my gym bag
I bought the Black Canvas 19" Shoulder Duffle Bag in March of 2016. I've had it for over a year and it is a great bag! I bought it for my gym bag, and it has worked out really well. I wanted something that wasn't overly large, simple, logo free, not made out of plastic-y material (those kind don't last, and will eventually start cracking & flaking), and most importantly, not something I would have to be precious about. I literally toss my bag in my car, on the floor, whatever & wherever. I keep a regular gym schedule of 6 days a week, and am constantly repacking it with whatever clothes I am going to be wearing that day; I get a lot of use out of my bag.It can hold a couple pairs of shorts or pants and shirts, a couple pair of shoes, socks, and other small accessories. In general I don't have it stuffed that full, so I usually have more than ample room left over in the bag.I haven't had any issues with the zippers or stitching. The material is good, not flimsy and thin. The only issue I have had (and this is the only one), are the clips used for the shoulder strap. If I'm wearing a sweater that has a knitted texture to it, the clips can snag if I'm not careful while carrying the bag via the shoulder strap. I usually, now that I've learned my lesson, watch out for that and will purposely use the hand straps instead. This is only with items that I'm wearing that have a knitted texture, everything else is fine. I'm considering going and buying a different shoulder strap, one that has different clips. All in all, it is a great bag. Dependable. Perfect size for me.

Great travel duffle
Great for traveling. Not a big backpack guy unless I'm hiking, If I'm traveling or roadtripping I prefer a duffel. This has held up really well and I appreciate the strap. Some people say the zipper is an issue but mine had a high integrity zipper which I've definitely tested the limits of.

Good inexpensive light duty bag.
Item: Military Style Shoulder Bag (also known as equipment bag, or roll bag)Color: OD (Olive Drab) GreenLet's start with what this is, and what it's not. It isn't a heavy duty bag, and it doesn't look like it was designed to be used as such. At this price point, one certainly wouldn't regret throwing this bag around, but I also don't expect for it to withstand heavy abuse. The canvas will naturally take the abuse I think, but not sure about the stitching and hardware on this bag. I certainly wouldn't use it as a bowling bag. So if you're planning on using it to lug heavy gear, like tools, books, etc., I can't recommend it.It also isn't a fashion or designer bag. Meaning that the color will probably fade, it doesn't have any cool zippers, military style markings, etc. It's a no frills and no thrills light duty military style bag, literally with no bells and whistles.Let's talk about what this bag is for, which is light to maybe some medium duty use. For example, going to the gym or to the beach with a few of your items qualifies as such. I think the bag will safely hold 15 to maybe 20 LBS at most. As mentioned above, judging by the hardware and stitching, it's not designed for heavy duty use. It also has a zipper pocket on one end, which will be useful to place small items for easy access, such as a wallet or keys. Personally, I plan on using this as a gym bag, maybe some short road trips, and to haul miscellaneous gear here and there. Have not had a chance to test it out yet, but my initial impression is that I will get a long and good use out of this.Let's talk about the overall build and finish. I've read some reviews, where buyers were critical of the color, and color fastness. I'm a Vet, so I knew exactly what I was getting when I ordered the OD (Olive Drab) Green. As pointed out in some of the other reviews, the strap is not an exact match to the bag, but the difference is negligible. I don't mean that it's an entirely different color, but the shade is slightly different. However at this price point, it should not be an issue. As for the color fastness... Obviously, I just got this and am unable to review the color fastness just yet, but I will say this. I probably won't wash this bag, if ever. If I do, I will turn it inside out, use woolite and cold water, just like I do with my jeans. I also will not be sad if the color changes, but I will wash it by itself just in case though.Far as size and shape is concerned, the outer dimensions are 19x9 inches as advertised, and the inner dimensions are just slightly under that. Also it's important to note that this is a SOFT roll bag (tube shaped) as pictured. Unlike a lot of the popular sports duffel bags out there, this bag is not rigid, and will not hold its shape unless it is completely full. The hardware on the bag looks like it'll be fine for light use. The tape and teeth of the zippers appears to be of good quality, but the pull tab feels cheap... Would not be surprised if it breaks off. That being said, I won't be disappointed if it does fall off, I'll just replace it with a key ring or something. The stitching, doesn't appear to be heavy duty. I'm not a seamstress, but it appears to be a common lock stitch from a sewing machine. Not the best, but not the worst either.Durability... I may update this review later, but so far it's holding up as of this review date.In conclusion, this is a great cheap bag for light duty and travel, one that I won't worry about being decimated during one adventure or another. If it tears or rips, then I'll sew it. If a zipper tab falls off, I'll tie something on and make it work. If it disintegrates into thin air, well I might just buy another one. If you're a frequent traveler of the world, this is not for you, you should look for a bag with heavy duty features. For the rest of us mortals, this is a good choice to stow a few of our things without spending much.

Greg bag for my ice skating equipment!
This bag is about 22" long and 11" high and 12: wide. I bought a few different bags from Amazon to hold my ice skating equipment (skates, helmet, gloves, and elbow pads). Some bags were too large and bulky and others were too small, but this bag is just right. It's more of a suede than a canvas and has a bit of a distressed look. The zippers seem to be of high quality. There are two zippers at the top of the bag that opens/closes from end-to-end. There is also one zipper on one of the sides where you can store keys, etc.. Overall, this bag fits everything perfectly and is not heavy or buiky. I am very happy with this bag!

Strap is weak and will rip on you
I was so looking forward to this... I assumed it was amazing quality.... The bag is fantastic... the strap is a diff story not sure if it was done in the same place. the threads are so weak... I loaded it with some grocery 🛒 the thing gives out in middle of crossing the street leaving me like 3 sec to get across.. messy crossing lol... wasn't happy. I'd give it a one star for that but to be fair.. the bag is decent quality and hasn't broken on me yet.. Use an old strap which is what I'm doing but it cheapens the bag... really sucks.
