Works very nicely
I bought this in preference to the newer model specifically because it has zippers on the 'laptop' section, rather than just a fold-over bit with velcro. This is much more secure, consequently, and not going to lose my laptop or anything else I put in that section. It's a big bag, make no mistake. Much bigger than a typical camera bag or backpack. There are smaller Phantom-fitting bags out there, of course. I bought this *because* it's big. I can fit everything in it, no problems - in fact even with up to six spare batteries, car charger, antenna range boosters, replacement propellers, and many other accessories, there's *still* numerous empty compartments. I don't think I could simultaneously put in my wildlife camera kit - i.e. large telephoto lenses - but you could easily fit small lenses, up to and including something like a 70-200/2.8, and quite a few of them too.The construction quality seems solid. Only time will tell how it holds up to real world use, but thus far - a few months of casual use - it looks brand new still. As a backpack it's decent - not particularly comfortable, but the shoulder straps are decently padded, have reasonable adjustability, and overall can't be complained about. In terms of protecting the drone, and the contents generally… that's probably its weakest point. Compared to regular camera bags it's quite equivalent - the usual padded exterior & inserts, etc. But for a drone, which seems a bit more fragile than camera bodies & lenses, I'm a little less sure. Especially that gimbal mount - I don't know if it's a valid concern or not, but I worry about putting pressure on the camera or gimbal, and you do have to be a little careful how you pack things into this bag to avoid doing that. Even with care, I'm not certain that, in an actual drop or compaction scenario, even careful packing wouldn't prevent the camera & gimbal being shoved about.Nonetheless, there are countless hard-case alternatives to this that will of course offer much better protection of the contents, but only with significant trade-offs - in flexibility, in weight, etc. So I'm still very happy with this bag - just noting that it's not the best of every possible world. No bag is, that I've ever seen.

Good bag, well made, very useful
I looked far and wide for the "perfect" Phantom 4 backpack. While this is not completely perfect it came closest to it.There is room for all your drone gear. Things like extra props, cables, little bits and filters all fit nicely in the inside web pockets. the outside front pocket will hold papers, a tablet a folding sun shield and a few other things, Fitting a laptop is a bit snug, and makes the front bulge out quite a bit. The outside side pocket holds a bottle of water very nicely. The shoulder straps are comfortable and the fabric loops are great for attaching things like an pen or flashlight. The shoulder draw straps dangle a lot. I got some backpack strap organizers at the local camping store to tidy them up. The pockets in the straps are a little small for an average smartphone, but a iPad mini would fit perfectly. the carry handle on the top and side are convenient and comfortable. there is also a strap on the bottom to allow you to do 2 hand lifts of the bag.You can arrange the dividers inside to your liking. The stock configuration works very well with a couple of exceptions. First off the Phantom 4 pro remote has a very snug fit, it actually deforms the adjacent pockets with the tablet mount. There are 2 dividers that allow you to make 3 battery compartments. I guess you could put more battery's in the other compartments as well but they would rattle around more. The 2 small bays at the top of the bag are perfect for the 3 bay charger and a filter case. The 4 "U" compartments that form the Phantom storage area are great for chargers, accessories, a small SLR camera. I even put in a portable scanner so I can monitor the Local CTAF frequencies. The blue bag in the description photo has a water resistant cover that can go over the bag. I say water resistant because it does NOT cover the part of the bag that goes against your back. The other silver looking bags in the picture are NOT included.Overall the bag seems well made, seams are secure and zippers are heavy duty with larger easy grip tabs. I like that is dosn't look like a drone bag that attracts attention when you use it. It fits well, but snug, in the overhead bin on your average aircraft. On smaller aircraft however it will not fit overhead or under the seat so be prepared to remove the batteries and gate check it on the small commuter aircraft..I would have to say that I am pleased with the purchase and would recommend it

It's great!
Very happy w/ this backpack. I was turned on to it by the guy I bought the p4 from in the Apple store. There's plenty of room for all my gear and then some. External pockets for laptop and iPad an added bonus. Internal see-thru (webbed) pockets make it easy to find stuff in a hurry. Actually, when the laptop is in the pocket, it makes the top of the pack a good landing site. But I usually just catch the craft anyway. (avoid whatever's on the ground like dirt, weeds, dog poop etc. where it lands.) There's even a "rain cover" but here in So Cal that's kind of a bad joke. Haven't done any long hikes with it, but it seems to be pretty comfortable.

the whole inside is not all fuzzy velcro (I was rationalizing spending this much in that if I got bored with my drone or it flew
Wish i could do 4.5 stars.Pros:+Flexible case+Great customer service+Solid (I've hiked several times with this and it works great)+Holds DSLR as wellCons:-Photos are a little deceptive, the whole inside is not all fuzzy velcro (I was rationalizing spending this much in that if I got bored with my drone or it flew away, I could reconfigure it for my DSLR, but that is not the case for this case).-Also, the zipper packs that are shown in the photo are not included.-Expensive

Best case for the Phantom 4+
Love, love, love it. So glad I didn't not buy that heavier hard case. The drone doesn't need that heavy cumbersome thing and I would leave the drone at home more often if I had to carry/roll it out.Plenty of room for 3 batteries, 4 if you leave a battery in the drone. Also, you do have to remove the props, but keep in mind the props are super easy to remove and put back on. I would prefer to remove the props when not in use. I would hate for pressure to be placed somehow on the props when placing removing the drone anyway. Better to just remove the props when storing and putting back on before flight time.Buy this and do not look back!
