Gents knife with great utility
Pro: fit and finish are great. Centered blade and beautiful Damascus layering. Sharp. My ideal blade size. Large enough to be useful without appearing murderous. Thin and light. Love the hammered texture and aesthetic. It feels good in the hand. Many comments about opening the knife, but this is my second MCUSTA and after a hundred openings the blade shoots out easily.Cons: handle is a little short for a solid grip. Opening is made more difficult because it can be hard to hold and swish the blade open compared to its larger brother. I plan to add a small lanyard for extra finger grip. Clip works well enough but I prefer deeper carry.I would buy it again. I enjoy it both as a fidget to open and as a knife that works well at the light duty tasks of your standard everyday gentleman.

Beautiful, sharp and durable; beware the weak clip.
I got this as part of my daily carry, it is remarkably sharp, and the edge holds up very well, even when cutting through items which normally dull blades quickly like paper and cardboard. The blade and handle are beautiful, and aren't prone to tarnishing or scratching.I see some reviewers complaining about the opening mechanism, I haven't had any issues with it. It isn't designed for 1-handed opening (it's an elegant tool for occasional use, not a weapon or a workhorse), though if you have nimble fingers it's not too hard to do. I have had to tighten the bolt holding it together a few times over a year of use, which is fine because I'd rather have a bolt that I can tighten than a rivet which stretches out and can't easily be fixed.Unfortunately, the clip isn't up to spec. I keep the knife clipped into the coin pocket of my pants, and the clip is weak enough that I've had the knife snag and get pulled out of the pocket while taking off jackets / sweaters / shirts (a tighter clip can still snag, but it resists the pull more so you can notice the snag before the knife pulls all the way out). I assume this isn't an issue if you are keeping the knife in a place where it's less likely to snag on something, like a jacket pocket or purse.

form over function
It's a nice enough knife, once opened. Its very ornate looking and has a sharp blade. My issues are the clip and the transition. The clip pinches above the center of mass. As a result the knife flips out of your pocket rather easily. Personally I lost the knife after having it for just a couple days. It was a real disappointment because the knife does look really nice. The knife is very difficult to open/close. I didn't take the time to use graphite powder so I don't know if that would have helped. However, the thumb stud is located really close to the pivot point. That makes it much more difficult to open. I couldn't open it with just my thumb, I had to use my forefinger as well. All in all I was pretty disappointed with the knife, it really should have been an eighty dollar knife even with the damascus coating.

Gorgeous little gentlemen's folder
First, here are the basics:Manufacturer: McustaModel: MC-0113DOverall Length: 6.50"Blade Length: 2.75"Closed Length: 3.62"Blade Material: 33-layer nickel damascus over VG-10 coreHandle Material: Aluminum with indentations and mirror finishLock Type: Frame LockWeight: 2.60 oz.It's slim and lightweight, and right off the bat you notice that it's a very pretty little knife (see the photos I uploaded for detail). There is no blade play, even when significant torque is applied. It feels well built, small but solid. The knife was also extremely sharp out of the box.The lock-up is a bit early, but not so much that it doesn't lock-up well. The knife is really, really slender. The handle feels fine for the light duty tasks I've used, but this thing is actually skinnier than a CRKT Ripple. In handling it, it feels like a nice, solid little knife. There is only the tiniest of cut-outs on the non-lock side of the frame, so I found it a bit fiddly to close one-handed at first. Those minor niggles aside, once I had it working the way I wanted I found I really like the knife. With its light weight and thin profile, it's very pocket-friendly. It's also a really dressy looking little knife. The shiny damascus nickel over VG-10 looks really nice.To sum it up in conclusion, based on my experience so far:Pros:- Very pretty- Slim, light, generally pocket friendly- Frame lock- Did I mention pretty?Cons:- Tip down carry (boo)- Indent to give thumb access to frame lock is tiny

Scary sharp!
The knife is gorgeous. Even more important, it’s exceptionally sharp! The VG-10 core holds an edge very well and is easily touched up on ceramic sticks when needed. I really like that the knife is very slim and just the right size for EDC. The pocket clip holds tight as well.

beautiful looking, incredible blade, serious lack of details
Blade is top knotch! Centering is beautiful.(Only a 4 because the blade and beauty)Action is gritty Opening and closing. Clip is worthless and I'll be looking to have it replaced.the small thumb nob is okay once you play with it, but it's still not a quick opener. Access groves to blade release could be larger.this is a pretty knife.I ordered 3 of the other knifes as well to verify opening aND closing smoothness..... I have $30.00 knifes that put these knives to shame.why would you have one of the all time best blades and not pay a little more attention on the details?

Where did my knife go!
Clip for pocket or your belt is short. I have left my knife at a friends house a few times now.
