Review: Superior workmanship, high-end appeal in an outstanding appearing, and functional display piece. - Super sword case, as advertised, extremely well-packed to prevent damage in shipment, and shipped quickly. Upon opening, found all 'hardware' and keys secured together, and sword supports equally well protected. Instructions on how-to remove the sword case from the shipment case, how-to remove the protective film covering the plexiglass, and wall-mounting instructions are all understandable and straight forward. All-in-all a beautiful display piece for a family heirloom. Review: Beautiful but not quite big enough - The sword display box is very nice; very well constructed and very appealing to look at. Unfortunately, it is not quite deep enough to hold the regulation Infantry Pattern sword of the Canadian Armed Forces, due to the size of the bell guard around the grip. This in no way detracts from how nice the case looks, and if you are planning to display a sword that is not quite as wide, it should work very nicely.

Solid Display Case
My grandfather's sword has been in my father's closet for quite some time. He is getting older and brought it down to me a few months back to possess as a family heirloom. As I get older myself, I began to realize the significance of this sword not only to myself but our country as a whole. This sword was brought back from the Pacific campaign that occurred during WWII. I wish I knew how my grandfather obtained this sword and can only speculate it's significance to him. He was a Marine and fought on the various islands in the Pacific campaign, with Guam being one I remember he mentioned. I have been told this is a Japanese Officer's Sword and am not sure how to tell anymore details other than that. The case itself is very nice. It has a felt lined back and the wood supports (loose not fastened to the case) work well to hold the sword. I put velcro on the bottom of the sword supports to hold them in place. I also ordered a marine badge and a plaque with my grandfather's name, rank, and WWII to place in the case as well. I put velcro on the backs of the plaque and the badge and both have held up great over the last couple months. I also added some push button lights on the button that are remote controlled to add a little ambience at night. Overall I highly recommend the case and with a few personal touches turned out very nice, if I do say so myself. : )

Not bad display case
Not too bad. Wash your hands before installation to avoid fingerprints. This case is made in China. Dimensions are depth 5 inches ( including cover ), length 44- 3/4 inches, height 11 inches. I bought my Civil War replica sword and wanted to display it better. My sword in the pictures is 39- 1/2 inches long. Blade about 1- 1/8 inches, Handle is roughly 3" egg size. The scabbard is 34- 1/2 inches long. I used painter's tape on the wall to mark the included mounting screw locations. The horizontal mounts are factory installed. There are included verticals mounts in the package if you decide something different. There were 4 locking cabinet keys inside the box as well as other mounting anchors and paperwork. The clear plastic sword holders stay in place by simple gravity. These plastic mounts can slide freely side to side. Overall not a bad display case. Instructions seemed Okay. BE CAREFUL opening box not to scratch contents. I used a damp cloth to clean the dust out this case before closing it.
