The Chosen Kids Activity Book: Season One (Ages 6-12)
S**A
Difficult, difficult, lemon difficult.
So, I’m a fifth grade teacher with a masters degree, I also home school my 8yr old & have tutored people from elementary to graduate…. I also host multiple bible study groups (including one based on the series - I used and somewhat loved the Bible study book for season one, and made my own materials for season two) and even I struggled even just when looking through this book. I didn’t grow up as a Jew, nor did I extensively study the script for the one episode with Abigail (the children episode). I just wish some of these had word boxes or something to HELP kids AND adults get some of the answers - or have like educational materials included so we could learn about things about the original Jewish culture they isn’t necessarily noted down in the Bible and barely mentioned in the show (sometimes not at all) and then use that knowledge to test our skills in the activities. Bleh. That said, I DO really like the activities where you change one letter of a word to mean something else & they have you do it several times to get from one word to another word just by changing one letter 4 times. That was fun for me and something I had never seen. My 8 hr old though… he is not thrilled about this book and I’m afraid it’ll end up just collecting dust. I love the show and I own all the other books - but this one could have been done better.Oh! One more thing, they did do a good job with the paper quality and the colors and such. That was nice.

Wouldn’t recommend for less than 3rd Grade
I needed something to support K-5, but this material wouldn’t work for my K-2nd graders. Wish I’d seen this book before buying 2, because I don’t need either one.
