Well-built bulb, but note the beam angle
I had to return this as I bought it for a floor lamp that projects light in all directions, and I hadn't noticed this bulb has a solid, unlit side that didn't suit that application.Otherwise it seemed really good. Nice range of brightness on the dimmer switch, with strong and unflickering light.

Slightly dimmer than expected
Fits my uplighter without a problem. Dims okay until it gets to a particular point, then it flickers. Continue through this point and the flickering stops. Doesn't buzz when dimmed though which is a positive.Went for the 14W / 120W light as it was brigher (20009 lm vs 1600 lm) than the 11W / 100W version and, inexplicably, nearly £3 cheaper.Bought as a replacement for a 150W halogen and it is nowhere near as bright - rather disappointed giventhat it supposedly the equivalent of a 120W light. In two minds as to wheher to return it or not. There are brighter, and cheaper, alternatives out there - but Philips is a reliable brand so I mey end up keeping it.According to my wattmeter, it is only drawing 11W on 'full', not the 14W it should be doing. Have I got an 11W version in a 14W package??No, just checked to make sure - the end cap says 14W.Overall, slightly disappointing, but I'll probably end up keeping it.

Nice brightness and quality of light
We've been using this bulb for the past few months in our dimmable floor lamp. We've not noticed any flickering or other problems. The light quality is good, and it offers a good change of brightnesses. One thing we did notice initially was that the bulb seemed to cut out after a few minutes. However we think this might have been due to heat expansion shifting it slightly in its connection. Jiggling the bulb slightly stopped this, and in the months since, we've not had any problems.

Works and gived off good light.
This one is a bit more warm coloured than my previous Philips one but it will do the job.

Be aware this may not work in your lamp
Very disappointed with this product - I installed it in an Argos lamp that was brand new the lamp had a dimmer so I chose this bulb as it was described as dimmable.. It was not dimmable it was either on or off, when it was on it flashed constantly and buzzed.. Not what you expect from a quality manufacturer. It went pop after two days and stopped working altogether.

Good quality and no buzzing sound in our dimmable uplighter
Good quality and worth the price. Most importantly they do not 'buzz' when in use in our dimmable uplighter which is something that has plagued cheaper alternatives I've tried. Thoroughly recommended.
