A few stumbles setting it up, but satisfied overall
I had a tough time deciding between the sensor key and the bike case, especially after reading the 1-star review for the bike case. But, I decided to risk it knowing Amazon has a good return policy, because I really liked the idea of having the phone out of my pocket, and I liked the idea of having a waterproof case for those times I get caught in the rain on my way to/from work on my bike.My initial experience WAS a little confounding. I had spent a lot of time looking at the company's site before ordering, and they state that it comes with the iPhone 4 cradle in place, and also includes a cradle for a 3GS in the package. I have an iPhone 4, and when I tried to do the initial testing that it was reading my heart strap, it didn't seem to be working. It didn't seem like the phone was making good contact with the connector. I fumbled about and was on the verge of returning the product. Then I wondered if possibly they had the cradles switched. I examined the other cradle that came with it, and couldn't find any identifying markings on it that indicated whether it was for a 3GS or a 4. In one last ditch effort to try to get it working before returning it, I decided to switch out the cradles. Lo and behold, that was it! Apparently my case came with the 3GS version of the cradle pre-installed for some reason; once I switched them, it fit like it should. So, if there's one area of improvement I would recommend, it's making the identification of which cradle is which a little more obvious, in case somebody else runs into this situation. Of course, maybe I was just "lucky" and this will never happen to anyone else. :)Once I got it installed in the case, I was able to get the Wahoo "FisicaUtility" app from the app store to recognize my heart strap, which was an ANT+ strap I already owned that I'd previously purchased for use with a Garmin GPS watch. I had been a little bit concerned about compatibility issues, but I didn't want to spend money on another heart strap if I didn't have to, and I can report the Garmin strap works just fine.Installing the case on the bike is a cinch. It's a pretty straightforward operation involving the mounting bracket and zip ties. The bracket is designed such that you can choose to orient the iPhone in either "portrait" or "landscape" orientation ... I installed mine in "portrait". One nice touch is that there is a set screw you can loosen and easily change the orientation. The next test was the following morning's ride into work when I used the RunKeeper iPhone app to track my ride. You don't really have to do anything special... with the iPhone in the case, you just start up RunKeeper as usual and it automatically recognizes your heart rate (it shows a little heart icon when you start the activity). I've been using it for about a week now and haven't observed any disconnects in the HR monitoring, and the RunKeeper app records an average heart rate and also includes a graph for the duration in the ride when you look at the details on the web site. I haven't tried it with any other apps.My only reservation is the security of the mount. I've ridden a little over 100 road miles, some of which are fairly bumpy, and so far haven't had any problems, but I do wish that it "locked in" differently somehow. You slide the case into place on the mount, and there is a plastic tab on the mount that that you flexes while you are sliding it into place, and then clicks into a groove that keeps it from sliding out. It seems to work but I confess it does make me a little nervous. I worry that after repeating mounting/dismounting of the case that the tab may wear. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid; as I said, so far no actual issues.

Perfect bike case with a tiny modification
I really wanted to ditch my arm-band and ANT+ sensor key so naturally had my eye on this product for a while, but the reviews, specifically regarding the mounting, had me troubled. There was talk about a "newer" style bracket, and I've seen both, its not that greatly improved and didn't fix the core design problem. That said, I ended up ordering one, and yes, it does the job. I like having my bike info and read out right up front on my handlebars. But I also ride over some pretty rough roads and take a few skips over large bumps so I needed something capable of handled jarring forces. I have my case mounted portrait and after about 150 miles its worked great. There is a bit of wiggle that has perturbed me so I tried adding a set screw in the 'catch' release mechanism and then later added a velcro strip to help ensure the release tab wouldn't wear or accidentally let go.But that still wasn't good enough for me. Thus the easiest solution which appears to be perfect - buy a 2nd mounting bracket! I bought a 2nd bracket and cut two new notches into the back of the case. The case is now held by TWO brackets, thus redundancy in case one ever failed, but double the strength as well. There is now zero wiggle or play, the case is rock solid in place.I'm now 100% satisfied with this solution and am surprised nobody else ever considered this simple trick. I'd highly recommend it!I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to take matters into my own hands, but otherwise its fantastic!

Now time tested
After 8 months with the this case I can give a better review now... it's still going strong with my iPhone 4s, HR monitor and speed/cadence.What a relief too, because I'd returned two similar products because of interoperability problems. Even though they said ANT+, they were only compatible with *their* ANT+ sensors. My speed/cadence sensor is from Garmin and I can't remember who made the HR monitor but they both work fine with Wahoo's case. The latches have held up. The screen still works. The mount still holds it in place securely. The seal hasn't let in even a drop of water (and we get 127" of rain a year where I live!).I've tried several iPhone apps with it. No problems with any of them but have settled on Roadbike, by Runtastic. That's cool, because I also use Runtastic with the Wahoo ANT+ iPhone dongle when I run. (The reliability of the dongle is what convinced me to buy the case.)Given all of the fitness crap that is on the market (like the fuelbrand I wasted good money on), it's nice to come across something that works and provides valuable information.Note: I've noticed that if I haven't used it for a while, like I've been out of town for a couple of weeks, the iPhone will sometimes will report that the device is not compatible. I just let it sit a minute, and then take it out and put it back in. Seems to do the trick.I'm staying at 4 stars instead of 5 because they could have made it smaller.

Nice solution for ANT+ capability on an iPhone 4
Nice solution for ANT+ capability on an iPhone 4.Pros:--Case is very sturdy, with 6 plastic clips holding the 2 halves together and the phone inside. Don't think the phone will ever fly out while riding--Mount is very simple and small, with a minimal presence when the phone holder is removed from your bike--Water-sealed case will be nice a) in case you get stuck unexpectedly in bad weather, and/or b) you seat a lot--Gives you the capability of adding the Wahoo extra battery pack to extend your phone's battery lifeCons:--Not much, except maybe that the case is a little large - this is certainly not a minimalist design. Although that may be necessary to allow the ANT+ receiver circuitry to fit within.Very happy with this purchase, especially as the prices are going down now that the iPhone 5 and 6 are the big thing.

Great case for compatible ANT+ and Bluetooth sensors
Bought this product despite some concerns expressed in other reviews about the quality of the mount - not had an issue after many miles ridden. Case works well with compatible gear (frustrating that my old Polar sensors (HR & Speed) didn't work but Garmin/Wahoo gear works 100%).Case compatible with iPhone 4, 4S and 3GS. Screen is clear and easy to operate (without gloves).I'm steadily upgrading to bluetooth devices but Mrs F will continue to get value from this case with her 3GS and ANT+ compatible Garmin sensors.

Solides Teil

Not working in iOS 8
The unit stopped working with the iOS8 update. The manufacturers claim that functionality has been restored in iOS9; but I've gotten rid of my iPhone to test.

Does the job very well
I like this product very much and would recommend it to riders. It works great with the ANT sensors I have on my bike and on my person IE. Heart rate monitor. The only issue I have is the mounting system it tends to vibrate on rough road surfaces but other than that it does the job very well
