YoLink DIY Automatic Water Leak Detection & Shut-Off Starter Kit, EVO Valve Operator, Wireless Valve Controller, (3) Leak Sensors, Hub

Due to a water claim for the previous owners on our new home, we needed to add an automatic water shut off device to get insured. We didn't have have the ability to do invasive work on the plumbing and all the other products needed to be installed by a plumber or a very confident diy-er who was willing to gamble with something as high risk as the main water line whuch we were not comfortable working on. The last thing you want is to make a mistake on something like this. Due to this requirement we decided to purchase this product but were honestly happy to do so. Our minds are at ease knowing that if there's a leak this device will not only notify my where- depending on where I install the little sensors, but also shut the water off entirely. Smart controls are fantastic you can set automations and decide if you want to be notified or have it shut the water off automatically. What's also nice is that you can have it powered with regular batteries, so there's no need to deal with wires everywhere, or finding an outlet nearby, or water proof connections- which I also didn't have where my yo link is now located. I believe the battery can last up to 2 years but even if it's just 6 months I wouldn't have an issue with it seeing as how convenient this is, I can't complain whatsoever. Powerful little device, gives me peace of mind and with all the other housework I'm doing by myself, it's nice to ask Google to shut the water on or off to test what I need to when working on minor plumbing repairs. Price is great and it's more analog than other devices since it uses water sensors and manually shuts off the water, but it honestly gives me more peace of mind since we know if it's wet it's going to set off the automation or alarm without a doubt. If it's running low on battery you'll see it right on the app. Huge plus is that you can place these sensors anywhere! I'm planning on purchasing more to add to my garage in the future! You can't go wrong with this. Good quality, easy to use app, easy to install, integrates with my Google home ecosystem, sensors can be placed anywhere you want giving you full control. Comparable products can be $500+ and that's not even including install which would have ran us another $600 at best. Whether you need it for insurance or for peace of mind. The cost of this is well worth preventing future damage that can occur by not having one installed. Oh and I can attest the sensor work great! Kids were splashing water a bit much in the tub. Wet the floor and just like that all the water was shut off immediately. Sensor works by water either falling on it or water poolibg under it so it can be placed under sinks or areas where leaks can occur, or directly on the floor like in a bathroom! Can't recommend this enough. You won't regret it and might even save you future headaches!

The Yolink EVO Valve operator works with any quarter-turn water shutoff valve -- simply remove the valve handle and mount the operator to the water pipe and valve using the included hardware. Then install the Yolink app on your phone and use it to set up the operator and the water leak detectors. Once all the devices are connected you can use the app to monitor the status of the valve and the leak detectors, and you can also remotely shut the water off and on. The system runs completely automatically, moinitoring the sensors for any water leaks, and closing the valve if a leak is detected. It can also be set up to text and/or email you with details of any alerts. The Yolink leak detector system is reasonably priced and I've found it to be very reliable -- essential for the security of your house, especially if you're often away from home as I am.

The hardware is easy to mount and install (1" copper supply before the water meter) and wiring connectivity between the valve, operator module, set up the wireless connectivity through the hub was pretty easy. The power connector and connections have been pretty stable. Pairing with the app was easy. The features in the app are intuitive to use. Actions work reliably well and are accurate. I have configured 1 leak detector for now and will be setting up couple others soon. Overall, the app is intuitive and handles everything maturely. These are a bunch of good products with good quality material and gives me peace of mind.

This was an easy DIY install and gives peace of mind because it can automatically detect a water leak, send a notification, and close the main water valve to greatly reduce the risk of extensive damage to the home. By far the hardest part, and it was still easy, was installing the valve operator (see photo) onto the existing main water valve. Adding new devices, such as leak sensors, is simple as can be, just scan the QR code on the device using the YoLink app, press the power button, and it's connected, works every time with no glitches. All of the devices are either battery powered or have battery backup, so will protect your home even when there's a power or internet outage.

I’ll start by emphasizing great customer service. I had a minor issue with my order. The kit I purchased included four sensors but only three arrived. I contacted the company, they apologized and within two days the additional sensor was on my doorstep shipped all the way across the country. The system installation and set up was a breeze. It could not have been easier. I tested it after set up and it worked exactly as described, no issues. The app was an easy download and allows me to see and control the system from anywhere. Great piece of mind because we once had a water heater leak and it was a long cleanup. Now with this system any future leak will be minor as it shuts the water down immediately. I highly recommend this company and their products.

I think this must be the first smart valve designed by people who actually know how valves work. The adjustable two points of anchoring makes installation easy and accommodates virtually any water valve setup and provides excellent stability. The pass through handle design is awesome. One of the frustrating things with other brands is aligning the actuator’s pivot point with the pivot point of the valve handle. This design makes it easy by simply slotting directly onto the pivot point after removing the original handle. The actuator provides plenty of torque to open and close the valve. App and network setup was simple as well, and pairing each of the leak sensors to the valve was also simple in the app (DTD = Direct to Device). The built-in battery backup is also nice to have. Awesome smart valve for a great price.

key features: 1. water main valve actuator- I did not have to do any plumbing, just remove the handle and connected the actuator. 2. connected up the wiring and it was ready. took about 2 hours from start to finish. 3. free app is easy to use, connects to the "cloud" and connects the actuator and sensors easily. 4. water sensors programmed into the app easily, then was able to program the valve actuation on a water sense for each. 5. i can open and close and monitor from anywhere that has internet. I am very happy with this valve actuator. I had a friend who lived in a condo that the washer hose developed a leak and ran all day ruining the walls in the unit below. she made a claim on her insurance, but what a mess. I am a geek nurd and love this kind of stuff anyhow, i have automation all around my house. I put this on my water main in the basement and put the sensors in the laundry room, basement between the water heater, softener, and furnace. I put the others in the bathrooms and kitchen. i bought mor sensors and linked them into the same valve. I am going to call my homeowners insurance to see if they will give me a discount for haveing this device.

I did a lot of research before choosing the YoLink shut-off system. And I am very happy I purchased the system. Within two weeks of having it installed (I had to have a plumber install some lines, as I had very little room), the system alerted me to a leak in the master bathroom toilet and another leak underneath my kitchen sink. I have YoLink sensors placed everywhere in my house where that potential for a leak would happen. The device is easy to install, and the app on your phone is really easy to follow. Amazing how it works when it senses a leak. The valve closes within seconds and alerts you to the exact location of the leak. Simply an amazing product. I also had to call their service department for a small issue with setting up the app, and to my amazement, a person answered within seconds and fixed the issue with great instructions from a very pleasant person. Thank you, YoLink, for a great product that I highly recommend.

Easy to install, works well. It has triggered once accidentally (someone spilled water on the sensor), and was easy to reset manually and via app.

Excellent system, if you’re not r teck savvy get a friend to go through the setup together everything connected easily once I figured out the instructions lol

Simple setup, works as advertised. Purchased after washing machine failure. This was super easy to setup and works great. Valve response is pretty quick. Alerts you on your phone and closes the valve automatically.
