Romertopf Clay Baker Glazed w/ Cookbook Large Casserole Cookware and Roaster Oven

Bought this as a gift as I own 4 Romertopfs and knew my friend who is an excellent cook would love it. Great price and a cook book too! When it arrived I received a text that said, "Whoo Hooo! I can't wait to make something for us." Yeah, he's a happy camper as I had made a chicken with root vegetables with my Romertopf and he and his wife were amazed. You can't ruin anything in a Romertopf.

I used the cooker for the first time yesterday. It performed as promised. My pork roast was tender and flavorful as were the veggies. I thought the pork would have been more tender, but I didn't use a tenderloin. It was a different cut and bone-in. Some parts were more tender than others. But it was delicious and I will certainly continue to use my clay cooker. It is a fine product.I think the recipe book that came with the cooker could have used better proofreading. I picked up a number of errors, but that's just me being picky.

I should have bought the smaller baker, this one is about the size for two chickens or a little turkey. I need the two person baker and just have not ordered it yet.

Great product. Excellent quality. Easy to care for and versatile for cooking different meals. Can be washed in dishwasher.

There was a deep scratch on the inner surface of the lower half. No effect on structure or function, but keeps it from being a 5. Other than that, great,

It is wonderful I love cooking in it!
