Molecular Cell Biology Eighth Edition

This is a text book on a very complex, technical subject. I would say it's written a graduate or post-graduate level, so a working knowledge of organic and biochemistry, genetics, and cell biology are prerequisites for fully benefiting from the book. I am an M.D., but needed to improved my knowledge and understanding of molecular cell biology, as this is where the fight against disease, including cancer, is being waged now. I'm glad I bought the book, in spite of its high price, size, weight, and complexity. It is clearly written, has excellent illustrations, well-organized, and fairly comprehensive. Some of the appeals to evolution as an explanation for "preserved function" should have been presented as theory, rather than confirmed fact, but most of these arguments are compelling.If you're willing to slug your way through a text book on this complex but fascinating subject (I'm still working on reading it), then I think this is one of the best resources I've seen. I highly recommend the book.

This product was used and I don't have any problems so far. The book came in the next morning and it was ready for me at my door. There was no ripped pages so far. I am using this book for my cell biology class. Teacher did recommend this eighth edition. The class required the ninth edition but this work well to. Thank you so much for my book.
