Clasp metal failed and dog got loose, crossed the street
We didn't use this leash that much, maybe 30-40 times. We were happy with the it overall until the swivel clasp cleaved right off. In a matter of 2 seconds, my friendly dog took off to say hi to another dog and the metal failed. What a danger. She crossed the street and the rope burned my leg slightly. Also, I've experienced a significant hand rope burn with this lead. The rubber does make it grippy to hold but you really have to watch out. The weight of the rope was nice for my larger dog because it didn't tangle at all. Was easy to tie a loop knot halfway to hold at 25ft. I am not pleased with the product and wish I could get a refund or replacement of sorts.

Safety First!
Great leash! I use this to walk around the city park and the beach with my 60 pound dog. His recall isn't great and he is OBSESSED with squirrels, so this 50 foot leash has made walks so much better. Glad he is much safer! People ask where I got such a fantastic leash all the time. Easily one of the best things I have bought for my dog. He's chewed on it a bit, but no damage done. I'm impressed by the quality, especially when comparing prices of similar items at pet shops. Highly recommend!!

K-9 Officer Worthy!
My wife is a K-9 COP. She (and I) trust this leash with a dog that is VERY expensive county property as well as our family pet(most police K-9s double as pets to help maintain report). We use the 33ft. long-line for exercise and searches in open spaces. The rubberized threads are necessary to choke up on an 80lb. ball of high-strung muscle in the form of a German Shepherd Dog. The first one we bought was used daily for a year-and-a-half before she misplaced it. It wasn’t showing any major signs of wear. Is the leash quite expensive? Yup. Is it still worth it? Yup!

Durable and nice handle. I also like the nubby silicone on the body of the leash. Makes it nicer to grab in the middle when the dog gets carried away. Bought for recall practice, but used a good deal after a minor procedure to reintroduce to free roam in the yard. He could only get so far and not get carried away after three weeks on only bathroom only on a leash. Worked really well. Knots are easy to untie and because of the design less likely to form at all..

Great quality. The rubber grip and line of color are what you want on the trails.
Just tried this out today. LOVE it. I ordered the 15 ft. I already have two thin 25 ft one by a different vendor. I wanted something a little shorter and easy to manage but still give the dogs room to roam on our hikes. This length is perfect if you are more on trails and not in the middle of dense brush. The dog doesn't get so far ahead that he "forgets" you are there and you aren't carrying 20 feet of mud covered long line when you need to shorten up for some reason. I was skeptical about the rubber grip but it works great. The webbing is a little thicker on the line. Its more durable--between the heavier webbing and rubber grip its more strudy. I'm sure you can still strip the skin off you hand or leg if the dog bolts but I think for average pulling you have better control than the regular flat, thin nylon lines. The padded handle is really nice. I wouldn't use it for training situations where you want simulate off leash and need a lighter line, but for safe walk with your dog at liberty, this is great.

All around great long leash
I bought this because I needed a long leash for a multi-day car trip across the country with my cat and large (100lb) dog. My previous long leash was a simple flat braided nylon thing that had snapped and worn in multiple places and had been tied together in multiple knots. I just didn't trust it to hold if one or the other animal decided to make a serious run for it. Since that trip, I use it to tie up the same dog and cat outside while they wander the yard.I chose this one because it looked a bit sturdier than my last one, and indeed it is. While still flat and not super heavy, it's sturdy and I haven't seen the same kind of wear as it gets dragged around the yard as I did with the previous leash. Indeed, I don't think I've noticed any wear or fraying at all so far. I've used it only a few times on walks or in areas outside of the yard, but it seems to do well there also. The bright fluorescent stripe down the center is also a nice bonus, as it makes it immediately obvious where the leash is threaded when one or the other animal gets it caught on something.I was a bit concerned that the dog would chew on it (he's done that a handful of times to previous leashes). I DO think he could chew through it if he really wanted to, but it would take longer than a typical flat-nylon leash. It's also a little bit heavy to be 100% comfortable for the cat to drag around the yard, but I can't really complain about that since it's not meant to be a cat leash. I'm happy that it does that job as well as it does!

Pretty decent leads
I like the material the lead is made from, it has a sort of 'rubbery' feel and doesn't collect dirt (we let the dog run down out 600' driveway when we return from walkies. I have two of these, a 15' one and a 50' one. The second stitch on the handle loop of the 15' lead came loose and I had to stitch it up with my industrial sewing machine. Somebody wasn't paying attention in the Chinese factory where I assume these are assembled. Only one other minor complaint, the materiel the lead is made from has a 'memory' - it is tightly coiled up after assembly and it has taken a few weeks for the coil 'memory' to relax and not be all twisted up when used. The snap hook seems to be well made and I like the fact it isn't ferrous - no rusting! I'm not sure if the snap is stainless steel (it would have to be 300 series steel) or plated brass or bronze. I don't think it is a cheap pot metal casting.

Mostly pleased
The no slip is awesome when a dog has gotten a bit too rowdy on recall. Ok, my dog just isn't keen on teeny tiny dogs. Not sure why she dislikea (only air snaps, and freaks other people out) them so much, but here we are. Anyway, while doing so recall review, a tiny dog appeared out of nowhere and my dog just wasn't having any of it. The grip came in handing as I surely would have had rope burn with other styles of long lines. The part I don't like so much, I can't put the line under shoulders and in their collar, no way to really give a painless correction. So I can't use it for counter conditioning and desensitization work.
