There is a slight gap in the understanding of thread sizes here. Yes, it is 1/8" NPT, where the 1/8" refers to a hypothetical *inside diameter*. And yes, the *outside diameter* is around 1/4". That's exactly what a 1/8" NPT thread looks like. Hopefully this brings peace, harmony, and complete understanding to this discussion.

Q: How low adjust can you adjust the flame? This is for a small smoker repair.

Totally do not recommend purchase of this burner I purchased four of them manufacturing craftsmanship is horrible and inconsistent and performance was ridiculously poor I ended up tossing them and buying for brand-name burners ... cooker works great now
