I had an enamel pot before, the number one french brand and it became chipped and discoloured. This should last forever but does need a wipe with oil after every few uses.

I bought this for outdoor use to save ruining my nicer ovens.This oven is fantastic value for money. It's of a similar quality to others I have that cost a lot more money.The only downside is the factory 'seasoning' is utter rubbish. It's clear as you open the box it's just had a light coating if some sort of oil - no where near a proper seasoning, as such don't expect it to be non-stick!When it arrives give it a good clean and scrub with salt then season yourself. There's plenty of how to guides online!

Used this for all our camping cooking. We placed mushrooms, pitta, marshmallows, and fish on it, and even left a dutch oven on there (with a whole chicken inside it) for some time. Best used when the fire's not too intense, so the food doesn't stick to it. Plenty of room for cooking a hearty meal. Gets really ashy really fast, but it's nothing a scourer can't fix. Also, to get rid of dark stains, try sprinkling some salt before you cook on it, and also rinsing it with some salt before it cools down completely. This being cast iron, it also needs a bit of seasoning with oil before you store it away.

Coating is so cheap it rusts within hours of using, good for nothing. Tried to season this repeatedly but no good. Use cast iron skillets and dutch ovens alot never had an issue when used correctly. This is just cheap poor quality using as storage container.

Hard to avoid hyperbole. Super sturdy. Weighty and not un-hefty. Using a medium sized fire pit, I cooked a stew in the pot while frying halloumi in the lid. Really recommend this dutch pot. I got this one for the legs on both the lid and the pot and it was well worth it.

After washing , started bringing out red sand .Waste of money and bad quality

I like the idea of the versatility of this product. You could use it on a BBQ and put coals on top of the lid. The lid doubles as a griddle. Some recipes call for you to brown your meat in a flame proof casserole pan. This can go on the hob. If you bring the food to the table in it, it keeps hot for ages. I’m looking forward to using it outside.

I bought a small iron pot long time ago and still use it but this is not enough for our family. So I was looking for a larger size pot at a reasonable price and bought this iron pot. It's heavy but expected that, versatile and perfect for my dishes.I have used it a several times cooking stews, pulled pork. All came out perfect. Meat is cooked so tender and delicious in the pot, even made bread that tastes amazing.
