## Description

The Prismatic colors can be used to create unique customized cars, trucks and polycarbonate/Lexan bodies. This paint changes color from 7 color Spectrum to Chrome. For use on injection plastic kits, a primer is necessary. ALC304 or ALC305 can be used, followed by ALC303. Plastic primers should be lightly polished with 1000/1200 wet-or-dry sandpaper ot give a less absorbent smooth surface.

Review: Delivers a fantastic multicolor surface - I bought this as a test for a 3D printed weapon in Warframe I've been designing that is defined by its prismatic exterior. I tried Testor's color-changing incandescent spray, which is fine, but it looks more like spray glitter than anything else, so it would take a number of coats to get what I wanted. Other Alclad color-changing paints were recommended, but I tried this since the replica would have a grey/silver base anyway. The effect of this paint after only two coats is amazing! It beautifully delivers a multi-chromatic effect without looking like glitter. I immediately bought two more bottles because I was so impressed with it. I would post a photo but a photo can't do it justice. If you need a color-changing airbrush paint (with silver/grey as a base), this is a great solution!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this product have a holographic finish?**
A: Holographic?  Kinda.  I was making a halo helmet and used this to make my visor a one way mirror.  The effect is slightly holographic. The way this works is that you paint this stuff on the inside of a piece of plastic and then black out the lightsource from behind.  If you have light from both sides then it just makes like a silver film.  Also this stuff rubs off pretty easily.  A note on application,  I highly recommend an airbrush for application.  Using a brush causes it to streak a lot and it shows when it reflects light.

**Q: do you need to seal before top coat?**
A: It is always better to seal your work before proceeding to the next step.  If you don't seal it, handling the piece could dull the shine a little.  However, it is not "necessary" to seal this paint before applying a top coat.  I have applied other colors over this paint without sealing it and have had no difficulties.  The second coat adhered well.

**Q: Would this work over Molotow Liquid Chrome?**
A: If airbrushed with a light hand over a DARK color, yes

**Q: What do you use to prep for this? A glossy black?**
A: From what I've read, yes, a glossy black, but read online to see what type of paint (ie. Enamel, acrylic, lacquer) to use underneath. Use the wrong type and your finish will be ruined forever
