Perfect for Managing Lights Across Our Property
We’ve been using this smart plug to control lighting throughout our 10-acre property, and it’s been a total game changer. Setup was quick, and it connected to Alexa without any issues. Now we can just say “Alexa, turn on the patio lights” and boom—done. No walking out in the dark or fumbling for switches. It’s reliable, responsive, and handles outdoor lighting just fine (we keep it covered and out of the elements). I especially love that I can schedule lights to turn on in the evening or control them remotely if we're away. For anyone managing multiple lights around a larger property or just looking for convenience at home, this smart plug is absolutely worth it. We’ve had zero issues so far—and as a busy family of 7, anything that makes life a little easier is a win in my book.

Matter compatible
Using it on my balcony. Each outlet can be controlled individually with the company app or with Apple HomeKit and I believe some other smart home controllers. Each outlet works just as advertised. Recommended.

Great Product!
Easy to set up and works well with Apple Home App. This is the first outdoor smart plug I've purchased and it is just as easy to set up as the Meross indoor plugs. I purchased this plug in 2022 and in 2025 it failed to connect to anything (I only use it in the summer). I suspect the failure was my fault because I did not keep the Meross App active on my phone so the plug was not receiving firmware updates. And, by this time I had lost the original set-up code for this plug. I emailed Meross support and received a timely reply with clear and understandable instructions on how to resolve the problem. I had the plug up and running again quickly. I use several indoor smart plugs and smart bulbs and have had no problems with them. I believe Meross to be good quality smart devices and one of the few who support Apple Home App.

Plug died early but happy with Customer Service
Bought this smart plug about 20 months ago, it was exactly what I wanted to independently control 3 outdoor plugs, mainly for decorative/mood lighting in the side bonfire area. Integrated very easily with Alexa. Well, I realized it was not responding so I brought it inside, tried to do a factory default or see if there were any status indicator, nothing, Dead. Contacted Meross support, they confirmed that that they could not support the plug after the 12 month warranty but offered a 15% rebate and a 2 year warranty if I give them another chance. So I did recently purchase a new plug, I guess this is the actual product review, and again it integrated very easily into Alexa, also supports Apple if you need it. Haven't taken it outside and plugged anything in yet but the testing in the house was perfect. Only giving this review 4 stars because I expected the original plug to last long than 19-20 months, maybe that is on me. However, their customer service was above and beyond what I expected, am very happy with their quick responses and their offer to help make up for my inconvenience, especially since I was past the manufacture's warranty. Now hoping the new plug lasts me several years.

3 out of 3 Meross outdoor plugs grounding pin broke off in less than two years. Coincidence?
Yes, I should have dealt with this many, many months ago, but I didn’t because I figured the seller wouldn’t do anything because when the plug actually gave up the ghost it was approximately 15 months, 3 months out of their one year warranty…so I simply forgot about them and chalked it up to a faulty plug and a faulty manufacturer that lacks quality control. I only say that because the exact same thing happened to the three separate plugs I bought…coincidence? I find that hard to believe. Before I explain what happened, I want to preface it by explaining how little I used them. Basically, Christmas and Halloween. When they weren’t being used they were stored away until the next holiday. So…here’s what happened….the grounding pin literally broke off. All three of had the same problem just not at the exact same time. Crazy?! Right! So, coincidence, no….faulty manufacturing, yes. I still wouldn’t have written this review …but when my husband brought them in AGAIN (for what seemed like the zillionth time) and said, “well, have you contacted the manufacturer YET”? I no longer have to hear about these darn plugs ever again! Although I didn’t contact Meross because that would be a waste of time, especially after some other reviews I read. At least I wrote a review! I swear if I hear the word “Meross” one more time I’ll be left with no choice but to tell my husband where he can plug them in at! Lol!

Good product, great support.
A good product: easy to set up, easy to use, and sees the wifi from across the yard. Ours unfortunately quit working after about eleven months, which was bad, but the warranty is for a year. The company's customer support group, when contacted, immediately sent a replacement. It was about a week from item failure to reinstalling the replacement. So basically it's a good product and an excellent support system. Highly recommended.

Going strong for almost 2 years now
I set this up outside to turn LED spotlights on at dusk and off at dawn (under Alexa control) and it's been working like a champ. The location is in front of my house, exposed to the elements (tie-wrapped via the handy screw hook -- hard to see in the product images but right behind the cable -- to something on the wall) and I think I had to reset the GFCI once and unplug/replug the whole thing once or twice in all that time. That's pretty reliable, for something like this, if you ask me. And I haven't gone to any lengths to protect the outlet connections, so I'm not surprised the GFCI tripped. It doesn't forget its programming over power failures, either. Would buy again.BTW there's another, identical looking but cheaper version of this item, that does not support Apple Homekit. I just figured I'd get the more flexible/expensive product that probably works better, in case I ended up switching smart home ecosystems.
