Pact Coffee Micro-lot, Super Rare (1kg) - Medium-Fine Grind - Freshly Roasted in Surrey

I've been buying Pact Coffee since the very beginning. In fact, for so long now, that I qualify for "Pioneer" pricing on my subscription plans as I was one of their first customers. I reckon I've bought close to 200 kg of coffee since 2012. Over the years, I have bought from their three grades of coffee, "House", "Select" and "Micro-lot", though for a good few years now, I've exclusively bought "Micro-Lot" coffee.The coffee is directly-sourced from small growers all over the world. The growers are paid a very good price for their produce, much more than Fair Trade would offer them and the coffee is lovingly roasted in Surrey and shipped to your door within a few days of roasting.Pact roasts on the lighter side to preserve the subtle flavours of the beans - the fruity notes, the chocolatey notes, the hints of honey or caramel or the biscuity flavours such as shortbread.The flavour is worlds apart from anything I've tasted from any other roastery. And the commodity brands taste like burnt sawdust by comparison.For around 50p per cup, it's staggeringly good value and you'd be nuts not to try it if you think you enjoy the taste of coffee. Trust me, if you haven't tried this stuff, then you really don't know just how good a great coffee can be....
