Q: Hello, what is the use of the bracket? can i mount my ssd directly with just the "2280 heatsink thermal"? thanks!

Having a built in thermal pad, the ssd bracket dissapates the heat. If you have extra thermal pad, one can double the thermal pad near the nvme contact end because the controller module is twice as hot as the rest of the ssd.

Q: Since this bundle is out of stock if I buy the heatsink and m.2 separately will it be the same as getting this bundle or will they be missing pieces?

You'll be getting the same, the heatsink, the bracket and the screws, but you'llbe paying a little more.
