Handmade ceramic tea pot in the Japanese yokode kyusu style where the handle is at a right angle to the spout. Makes for more ergonomic pouring. Tea cups can be made at the request of the buyer. At an additional cost plus 4 weeks production time. The teapot measures approximately 8 cm tall to the top of the lid and 15.5 cm to the spout and 18.5 to the handle. It has a capacity of roughly 500 ml. The teapot and all its parts were thrown on the wheel and then assembled together once leather hard. The glaze resembles the longquan celadon famed for its characteristic translucent jade colour. Although the tea pot is dishwasher safe, hand wash is highly recommended. Also microwave safe. This piece is hand made and does not possess the uniformity you get with factory made items, so variations will occur. However you may request one in a similar size and style.
