Super soft awesome base layer. Not pants for wearing alone.
I’ve been slowly replacing all my clothes with wool. As you can see by the provided photo, I have been trying a variety of brands. Merino.tech is by far one of the most reasonably priced and best quality lines out there.I would recommend these base layer long underwear highly. Would not use them alone as pants.

Heavenly
I love everything about these leggings, which I bought to wear under dresses. Being midweight, they work as a single layer when the weather is above freezing. They are a pretty, heathered gray, and they are so comfortable I never want to take them off. I have slept in them (sooo cozy) and worn them under coveralls to work outside. I have also practiced yoga in them. After all that hard wear, they are starting to pill a bit, but that's to be expected with wool.

A little low on the hips
I've been looking for a pair of wool leggings all winter! Nice and fairly lightweight; not scratchy at all. My only issue is that they sit fairly low on my hips, im not sure if its because my ass is too big or if they're supposed to sit low. I cant stand leggings that feel like they're slipping down so it actually really bugs me. It's not quite a big enough issue to return but if you're like me (big butt & hatred for low/mid waistlines) its definitely something you should consider before ordering.

Love these Merino.tech products!
Hello! I just unpacked and tried on my first pair of your womens base layer pants. Im in love! they fit perfectly, which surprised me as I am 5’2” and 205, and they are so soft and snuggly. We are going to Iceland in 3 weeks and I also ordered your Long sleeved top layer. I expect to be as happy with that.Thank you for the sox! They are also so soft and will be greater hiking. Now the funny part: my husband was also looking to replace his old silk undies, so just for fun he tried on the Merino.tech leggings I was raving about. He is 6'2" , 230. They fit him better than his silks. They are very stretchy but not baggy. Dono how they do it but on both of us they will fit nicely under jeans.

Comfy, but can be itchy for super sensitive skin (Urticaria with Dermatographia)
Most of the time, I do love this. However, with my idiopathically itchy and sensitive skin, sometimes it’s itchy. The cold bothers my skin, and this can have a cooling sensation, so that’s probably when it itches. I’ll try this in the summer and see if I like it. Kept me nice and warm in the snow as a base layer, but for some reason if it’s around room temperature, it starts to irritate my skin a little.I am the type of person who will wear long sleeves and pants in the summer, no matter how hot it is, because any sort of breeze is painful to my skin. Air conditioning in the summer is a nightmare for me. With this being very light, I’m guessing it’ll serve well in the summer. I’m hoping it doesn’t shock me with cold air when around air conditioning. I’ll wear this under pants, of course.Overall, it is very warm. If I ever make it back to Switzerland during the spring, I’ll definitely bring these pants along. I love that it comes with socks, though it has the same effect on my feet as the pants do to my legs. If you have normal skin, these are probably the most wonderful base layer pants you’ll own.Do give it a try, but be forewarned if your skin is anything like mine. If it is, 100% cotton is probably your best bet. Or double up on both, which I have done before.I’ll update this if I ever get around to wearing these in the summer.

Third time was the charm!
These were soft and warm and the length was accurate but the design is too long which creates a puddling at the ankles. They are very stretchy so order a size down if you like a tighter fit. I bought them at $40 and I notice the price increased quickly but is still cheaper (for now) than the other brands. The initial price enticed me to try them despite my less favorable reviews of the shirt and neck gaiter being scratchy. I bought these thinking I could use them as a second base layer but they are soft enough as the first layer. Hopefully this wasn’t a fluke.

equal quality as top brand wool thermals
i purchased the medium weight thermal pants and long sleeve shirts and was immediately impressed as soon as i pulled them out of the packaging. it is a good weight, well woven, soft and a good fit. i have purchased other well known branded wool thermals and merino-tech is up there with them....at a much better price point. i would definitely purchase more of these of the rest of my family.

So Cozy
These leggings are super soft and warm. I put them on as soon as they arrived and kept them on for three days. The tag says 100% merino wool, and they came with a pair of socks that were around 80-85% wool and also super cozy. (I mention the wool percentages because a lot of products on amazon will be labeled as wool and then the tag shows that they're really mostly cotton.) I love these and they are a great deal!
