First off, the blanket comes vacuum packed and while I appreciate less packaging, Amazon placed the shipping label over the product label. So I received a hard, wrinkled clear plastic bag (with a hard wrinkled blanket visible), and then had to carefully peel off the Amazon shipping label to see the product label. Second, the product label has zip information other than if it smells when you open the bag, wash before using (I think there have been complaints). Since this is a gift, I opened the bag and took out the blanket to let it decompress and hopefully unwrinkle some. I did not notice a smell. The tail is exactly as described and thankfully does have a content and care tag inside (65% acrylic 35% cotton machine wash gentle cold, tumble dry low or dry clean). The knitted fabric is soft and I think will be a big hit with the 2 year old it is destined for. I have doubts over durability, but for this price I think it is worth it. Overall my biggest disappointment is with Amazon - the placement of their label over a package contents and that their delivery driver left this package in my mailbox (illegal - and since the driver did not take a picture showing this, I suspect they knew exactly what they were doing and that it was wrong).

Super cute and was a total hit with my niece. The only thing I will say, is that with the stitching it can catch on things and then doesn’t have the scale look to it.

This is a great gift. Only issue I think anyone with pets it seems it may snag easily.

It was a gift that went over big

My granddaughter LOVES her mermaid blanket. It is soft and lightweight. The knitting technique looks like fish scales 😁

Looks much better quality in the photos than what you receive. You can literally see through them. I ordered 4 as gifts and am SO disappointed.

I ordered this for my nieces 8th birthday, its much smaller and not what i expected but its okay. Definitely meant for smaller children like toddler size. And the keychain was nice but the sequence keep falling off.

I bought this for my granddaughter for her birthday and she loves it. Really nice quality. A little on the big size as she is only 3
