I saw models on the free people website wearing heart lockets, so I wanted to buy an inexpensive one to try it out. It definitely isn’t made to last, but it does the job and does not tarnish. The chain would probably fall apart before it tarnishes.The necklace comes with a photo guide, so you can cut out the perfect size photo to put into your locket.

The locket was listed as gold when in fact it is cheap plastic and should have been listed as gold coloured.

The clasp to keep the locket closed broke before I could give it as a gift. Then the loop that the chain goes through broke the first time my daughter wore it.
