Not sure about the science behind this, but it simply works. It doesn't upset my stomach as other vitamins do, and it diminish the pain on my calf and knee.My mom is using it as well to aid managing pain from a damaged meniscus in the knee. With it she is able to exercise routinely were before pain would limit her activity.
