The Emperor of Evening Stars (The Bargainer, 3)

This series was amazing. So much so I'm going to reread it! Love this author! I could not put this one down!

I loved reading from Des’s POV this book and the cliff hanger is so much fun. Can’t wait to read the next one.

You could probably skip this book if you don’t want to spend the money. The overall plot of the story doesn’t advance. But it’s interesting to see everything from Des’ perspective, to get the thoughts/feelings/secrets that he normally keeps so close to the vest, to find out how he met Maliki, how Maliki got his scar, how Des got his war cuffs…On second thought, some of this history MAY be relevant to the next book after all. You get more on Des’s father and I think there’s an early sighting of the Thief of Souls. So, you should probably read it. ;-)

Whole series is a 5. This book was a 3 for me. Not present day but brings you current from his point of view. Overall, the series is a 5. BUT I NEEDED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THE END OF BOOK 2!!Series review:Fairies, dark romance, spicy, a good plot and good writing!! This is a story I wanted to read every word. This is actually a beautiful love story. Moves quickly, between present day and 7 years ago. I don't want to spoil anything but there's plenty of spice, a bit of slow burn, a good fantasy romance. I had to finish the series!!! My only complaint was the 3rd book was kind of unnecessary but I liked his perspective of the last 8 years leading up to present day. I don't buy many books but I will read this one more than once. I went into this not expecting much bc it's on Kindle unlimited but the whole series is worth purchasing. Don't expect any kinky spice, but there's plenty. Th3 fact that there's such an emotional connection between the characters that spans years is just beautiful. Just give it a try!!!!!

It can sometimes feel tedious to read a story over again from a new POV. But his yearning is so sincere, you want to see what sweet thing he’s going to say next.

I didn’t think I could love Des anymore…man was I wrong! I loved having is POV and seeing all of his emotions and love play out.

I loved getting Des’s point of view and seeing his back story and then how he met Callie. It was so romantic. It also helped me understand and love him so much more. Great series

Loved the series. The whole series was great and wonderful couldn’t put it down however, it was easy not to speed read because I appreciated everything that was written it made you want to save the pages if that makes any sense I’m not a young adult but yet I like this kind of fantasy I am over 50 and I thought this book was fun.

Best book of life. Loved it super recommend the series. I loved reading from the point of view of Des.

We see a little into the past of Desmond and learn more about what he went through and his thoughts.I loved how we went from far in the past to present time and we see a little into the life of Des and everything that shaped him to be the person he is in the books. I loved seeing everything from his eyes. It gives another POV on events we’ve already read about from Callie’s view and we see what happens during events in the past which Des briefly explained in the books.We meet Larissa, his mother, in the very beginning of this book. I loved the relationship between her and Des and it was heartwarming to see how she looked out for him. This book made me completely fall in love with Des.I did miss a bit more dept in some moments. I would’ve liked some events, like how he became The Bargainer, to be a bit more drawn out and better shown. Other than that, I loved the book.Overall, it is a perfect, lighthearted novella which gives so much more dept to Des and more inside information. I would recommend reading this between book 2 and book 3, as I did.

I am falling over and over again for this story, for Callie and Des.I was thrilled to be inside Des's head, feel him entirely and knowing his thoughts exactly, without having to guess. It was a delightful reading, regardless the length which was sooooo short. It went fast enough and it could be read in just a few hours. I, personally, didn't wanted it to end so I took my time to enjoy it.There are so many reasons I love Des, I don't even know how to begin. The way his wickedness turns into something so strange to him at first. The way he starts to feel love... real love."My chest burns fiercely as I feel her body against mine. Love. This is love.... only Callie could spend a hundred nights with me and still be unsure about my feelings for her.""It's holding her close when she cries because her pain is my own and the world won't be right until it's gone."The way his selfishness suddenly dissipates when he's around her, being replaced by a whole new level of altruism... it almost makes you fall for him. Dammit,no. It actually makes you fall for him. I wasliving the book with every word you breathe in.I loved it. I love every single word and sentence, every secret told. This story, the entire series... they're so beautifully written, like it's actually a spell bewitching you to continue.I can't wait for the last book. I am eagerly awaiting for the paperback release, hopefully it will be soon enough as I really need this closure. Although I'm pretty sure that I will be in such pain when it ends.

Being in Desmond Flynn’s head was just as remarkable and engaging as I had hoped.What a character.Seeing the events from “Rhapsodic” and “A strange Hymn” unfold from Des’s POV, was an amazing addition to the series, and made my love for Des & Callie grow even though I thought it couldn’t get any bigger.My love for this series is immense. Truly captivating writing, a thrilling plot, and the most jaw-dropping characters.
